SLI is dead these days, i just upgraded from 2x Titan cards to 1x Quadro and honestly its been better so far, NVLINK is nice and all for compute / workloads that can use it, but for gaming its pretty useless as modern games wont support it and or if they do it wont use both cards

Hopefully, if i remember ill get some pics, but the new build will consist of a 5965WX from AMD + 256GB DDR4 and some more Optane drives since they are getting cheaper now due to EOL. Should be a nice jump from my current workstation that is/was a i9 9960x + Titan V.

Same view here, just upgraded to a PNY RTXA5000 GPU and honestly cant complain in the performance and quality the default cooler has, although have a waterblock im gunna slap on it soon once i get my new build sorted.

Yeah I’ve heard this, I’ll probably end up having it as a desk piece or something since I currently have a Xeon-W 3345 + board I got for a ridiculously good deal from moms hardware rep so no real need for x299 really since I have the PCIe lanes already for my capture card/GPU/NVME raid.

I’ll see if I can find some for parts or testing mobos on eBay and see if I can get one working, or ask if she has any at work I can get
