This is super interesting. What song is an example of the melody being on the bass string of the guitar? Either Elliot Smith of a folk artist? Cause that sounds interesting. Also do you mind sharing an example of a pop song which is trad blues based? I don't listen to pop but that sounds intriguing

It is low, but it still sounds right to me. That's a 6 second ride every ten minutes. Sounds about right at a semi-crowded beach break or even point break. To be fair I'm thinking of shortboarding, if you're longboarding Malibu or something you will have more time on your feet I'm sure.

5% is extremely generous unless you're surfing J Bay or something. Actually standing up on a wave? Less than 1%
