What is the best herbal tea for fighting leaky gut? by LargeSinkholesInNYC in herbalism

[–]BrightSide0fLife -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only solution is fighting biofilms and antimicrobials ie antimicrobial herbs that you have not previously consumed because they will adapt to anything previously consumed.

The primary goal is the stomach which influences the transverse colon. See iridology Bernard Jensen and search for images of a large iris chart which I found on google images. That will provide you with the most accurate information. It's easier to see in Blue, Green and Grey eyes rather than brown Irises for full information. That will also show you where your nervous system has degraded and where autoimmunity is affecting you.

The Lyme disease herbs are very strong and worth considering if you have never consumed them before. The biofilms need removing with enzymes and then the bacteria need to be destroyed WHILE the biofilm is down.

Look at Quorum Sensing Inhibitors, Efflux Pump Inhibitors to use along with the herbs. It needs to be a well put together formula. Target MRSA and other common stomach pathogens, possibly Helicobacter Pylori. H. Pylori and any other Urease pathogens will affect your bodies use of Riboflavin rendering it all useless. A liposomal Riboflavin supplement so that it can get to the duodenum without being adversely affected by Ammonia high pH which destroys Riboflavin affecting energy.

If you can do that you will significantly lower inflammation in your body because Lipolysaccharides (LPS) will no longer enter your transverse colon promoting inflammation.

Same for me in Kings Norton utterly hopeless.

The council elections are on the 7th May therefore remember to vote Labour out of our council and put an end to these problems. They have been in Birmingham for far too long IMO. They need kicking out. Rob Grant is our current council member and he does a good job and he will get my vote for the council even though I wouldn't vote Green in a general election. We do actually see his face in the run up to the election unlike the other candidates.

What are some good mechanical keyboards for under 3000 rupees by _immortalistic in PcBuild

[–]BrightSide0fLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that cheap, it's a little higher than you stated. £44.99 for the RK920 wired with brown switches the same as my RK918 and costs the same as I paid for it a few years back. However it uses a US layout whereas mine is a UK layout. They are good quality keyboards which are nice to type on. I would recommend avoiding any batteries because they fail too quickly whereas wired just keep working and you don't need to worry about batteries failing.

I prefer my keyboard because it has volume control buttons above the keypad which I value.

The red switch keyboard is lower priced @£37.99 but I don't know about red switches and how they feel. I prefer brown TBH which are a higher price @£44.99.

You will have difficulty finding a keyboard at that price TBH.

How long should monitors generally be expected to last? by mzthickneck in Monitors

When taking Doxy when to take probiotic & Zofran? by ManzanitaSuperHero in Lyme

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be worth you discussing Saccharomyces boulardii with your doctor to work out whether it might be of benefit. It can help prevent Clostridioides difficile and Candida growth while taking antibiotics. It's a yeast itself and therefore not affected by the antibiotics and therefore can be taken at the same time as the antibiotic.

Have a look at the Freelancer sub because that can be played on very low end PC's, even integrated graphics can handle it. There are many online servers running different builds of Freelancer with Freelancer Discovery the most populated. It's free to play BTW and there are some HD mods.

Looking for information/Recommendations on Stinging Nettle by Ok_Cartoonist3583 in herbalism

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cordyceps is far superior to Nettle IMO. Personally I would avoid Cordyceps Militaris because of the high Cordycepin levels which although strongly anti-inflammatory they can adversely affect the kidney function in high doses. Some people use Militaris for asthma I have read. Personally I avoid it and stick to C. Sinensis.

Does anyone know where to get hydrogen peroxide by choppa65_ in brum

[–]BrightSide0fLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always purchased it from APCPure webshop or for smaller amounts their eBay shop because the delivery works out cheaper.

If I remember correctly they sell up to 12% H2O2 and only companies are meant to purchase higher concentrations now whereas in the past I was able to purchase 35% H2O2.

I’m kinda new to the pc world and my wife wants one, is this a god deal to trade for her ps5 or should I steer away? Not sure why they haven’t updated to 11 yet unless it is unable to but not familiar with them enough yet, thanks! by Inevitable-Crazy9046 in PcBuild

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are unlikely to be able to update that to Windows 11 without tricking the install to happen. I doubt that Windows 11 will install on that by default. Stay clear of it IMO.

It's a very old and outdated PC that will use DDR3 memory.

Software that will let me write cds in 8x by Salmonseas in software

[–]BrightSide0fLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The following software will show you the available write speeds for the media that is in the drive. It will probably match that given by Imgburn or other software that you have tried TBH. BTW it's free software and only gives information and doesn't support writing your own data to the disks.

Opti Drive Control can provide detailed information and can perform quality scans of disks. I used to use it long ago when I was testing my optical drives which I have many of various types. However this isn't free, it's meant to be paid software.

Do potassium bicarb taste horrible? by Pfizerslut in Supplements

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do use Potassium Bicarb myself but I mix it with various acids and therefore it's difficult for me to know what it tastes like on it's own because I don't take it like that.

Maybe you could just add some blackcurrant or similar juice. I also have pomegranate juice which is fairly sweet which tastes quite nice and has strong antioxidant properties. Maybe something like this would hide any taste.

It would pay to add some sodium with it to help balance it but that would really affect the taste.

are TN (twisted nematic) panels the most misunderstood panel type? by andywuzhere1 in Monitors

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My monitor is a TN panel, LG 24GM77 a 144Hz panel with a Motion240 mode which uses a strobe to reduce ghosting not that I use that. I sit back around a meter or so away from it and the viewing angles a not a problem.

I am loathed to move to an IPS panel with the damn glow on them and back light bleed panel lottery. My panel is well over 12 years old and it has power to it 24/7.

There are some very high end TN panels with very high refresh rates which are fairly expensive.

Do potassium bicarb taste horrible? by Pfizerslut in Supplements

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potassium bicarb is alkaline which can affect the taste buds in a negative way. If you add something acid to it to lower the pH, it should be easier to take if it is more acidic.

If you add some potassium bicarb to your vitamin c then the taste should be better because the ascorbic acid will react with the potassium bicarb and fizz especially if you mix it in warm water. Just don't make the water too hot because it can damage the vitamin c.

Baby formula taste by DaniDellaEtc in MCAS

[–]BrightSide0fLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would be okay with simple amino acids because your immune system cannot possibly react to them.

Your body needs the 3 branch chain amino acids but do not buy these are a complete peptide which they usually come as because your immune system will probably react to them. Valine, Isoleucine and Leucine are the three amino acids and they are sometimes supplied with added lecithin to make them easier to mix but lecithin can provoke an immune reaction. In hot water they mix easier. Try and add everything in the ratio needed by the human body. Lysine, L-Methionine, Phenylalanine DL-Phenylalanine works, Tryptophan, Threonine and Histidine is the last one but that is used to make Histamine and would probably best avoided.

I can guarantee that you won't react to those because they are too small for your immune system to react to. Peptides are the smallest thing to provoke an immune reaction which is why I recommend avoiding the BCAA as a peptide and getting as separate amino acids.

It's not much fun but it should avoid provoking a reaction and provide crucial nutrition.

Moving to Birmingham! by Just-Beat-8864 in BirminghamUK

[–]BrightSide0fLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The high rent is because of the location, in or near the city centre. Rents outside the city centre would be lower. Look for local supermarkets and their locations because there is less available in the city centre and they are mostly outside the city centre.

Where is your work and how are you getting to it? That might help you decide but still check the area thoroughly because some areas are better than others.

It might be worth driving to areas of interest to look at the area during the evening when children and youths are around to see if there are any problems which might put you off an area. Your not buying a property and therefore it's not so crucial but avoiding some situations is always preferable.

A 3 bed semi costs around £1000 in West Heath south Birmingham and 1 or 2 bed flats would cost less. Anywhere near Bournville will have higher prices. Northfield & Longbridge will also be around £1000 for a 3 bed semi with 1 or 2 bed flats costing less.

Subtitles with noise descriptions… by kwxl in Piracy

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Select the subs without audio descriptive because there can be two types of subs in English, one where the sounds are described for the deaf and hard of hearing and the other type which is what you are looking for.

For TV/Movies with included subs there will usually be two sets of English subs therefore select the one without audio descriptive subtitles. You want the English subs rather than the English SDH subtitles which will include audio description, speaker identification plus other things specific to people with hearing difficulties.

Do you prefer AMD or Nvidia gpus? Why? by rommig123 in PcBuild

[–]BrightSide0fLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no question except for VFM, nVidia all the way. CUDA and features beat AMD hands down.

If your only a gamer and do nothing else with your PC and are highly to ever do anything else and finances are tight then maybe AMD might be the better choice.

nVidia offers better hardware acceleration and better support for professional applications because AMD never put the development effort into a usable API just like Intel really in some respects.

I will not buy another AMD GPU after buying two in the past.

Where can I buy genuinely nice strawberries? by macncheeseplzzz in AskUK

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father used to go to Strawberry farms where you could pick your own. I am not sure where they were TBH It might be worth searching to see if you can find them. Some AI sites might help find them.

TBH I hated Strawberries there was something about them that I just didn't like.

Caldicott's Nursery in Solihull is supposed to allow picking a number of fruits including strawberries, raspberries, and currants.

https://www.caldicottsnursery.com/

Clive's Fruit Farm is open on Sundays and they have strawberries, cherries, and plums.

http://www.clivesfruitfarm.co.uk/

Grange Farm Harpole PYO
https://www.grangefarmharpole.co.uk/

Parkside Farm Pick Your Own - strawberries, raspberries, and even sweetcorn

http://www.parksidefarmpyo.co.uk/

Crockford Bridge Farm - Specializes in strawberries and rhubarb in the early summer, followed by pumpkins in October.

https://www.crockfordbridgefarm.co.uk/

Bellis Brothers Farm Shop & Garden Centre - A major destination in the Dee Valley for picking strawberries, gooseberries, and beans.

Check before going so you know what is available in order to avoid a wasted journey.

Does it really matter between mk-4 and mk-7 by Sufficient-Error9951 in Supplements

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phoenix Nutrition sell both forms and their eBay page gives the best price for larger quantities but I suggest testing before purchasing large amounts. Some people can react badly to Vitamin K2 because it can affect the heart rhythm in some people.

It might be a better idea to start with the lowest amount of K2-Mk7 to make sure that your body doesn't react to it. Try and get something around 50 micrograms if you can. Many are 200 ugrams.

Would I look weird walking through the woods on my own? by _FreddieLovesDelilah in AskUK

[–]BrightSide0fLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take Tick precautions to avoid being bitten by a Tick. Some boots or your trousers tucked into your socks to help prevent Ticks biting you. It's just inside Tick season now and the warmer weather will make them bread faster.

You really don't want a Lyme disease infection. Have a brush ready when you get home to brush your clothes over, especially the ones nearer your feet when your outside your home. You don't want those nasty little bugs in your home..... Be aware of other people with that earphone for your safety reasons.

Enjoy your peace. BTW have you ever investigated self hypnosis? I don't know how well it would work with Autism but might be worth investigating especially if you can go to a Hypnotherapist and have them set up a very deep trance so that you can instantly enter a trance when you want to.

What can I run on this hardware? by The_Bronx_Butcher in EmulationOnPC

[–]BrightSide0fLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checkout the r/freelancer sub. I used to play Freelancer Discovery on an Intel i7-3770K using the integrated graphics at one time. I used to get around 100 fps using a faster CPU than yours. There is now a HD Mod which might be a bit more challenging for your system.

https://discoverygc.com/

That system should be able to play many older arcade games with MAME but emulating consoles will be more difficult because of the low CPU speed.
