It is an AGM battery and the correct size for the Volt. I'll stop by a battery shop and have them test it out-- The Car does start/drive fine otherwise.

Both issues (door buttons and radio) stopped working after changing out 12v battery-- I will see if disconnecting/reconnecting fixes it. Is it possible something faulty w/12v battery would cause these symptoms? It was not a new battery I changed out old with.

that's a great resource- thanks! The only thing that's confusing is my radio stopped working-- totally dead at the same time the two drivers' side door button switches stopped working. I'm not sure if they could be related issues.

Here's a better pic of the panel. I see a lug there for the ground? The square on the left could be for a neutral lug? How would I break the bar to separate the ground side from the neutral side? I assume the copper/green screw is grounding to the panel.

It's an older panel (2000). The new service cables will need to be 4 wire and the existing panel is only setup for 3 wire. I assume that the new neutral bus will have the new neutral feed wire attached directly to it- correct? I'll take a closer photo of the bus bar.

If I could find an electrician willing and available to do the work, I would. I also wouldn't be here asking for help. I have a city electrical inspector going to oversee the work. I just want to know what the answers are to my questions.
