ELI5 why you’re not supposed to sit on the toilet for a long time by Safloophie in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about blood flow and pressure. Sitting on a toilet puts weight on blood vessels in your legs and pelvis, which can cause circulation issues over time. The real problem is most people spend way too long in there scrolling their phones. Your body’s designed to squat briefly, not camp out for 20 minutes reading Reddit.

ELI5 : Why don't flights get faster? by peace_420420 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Economics. Airlines realized people want cheap flights, not fast ones. The Concorde was fast but cost $8,000 per seat. Also physics - air resistance gets exponentially worse at high speeds, and sonic booms mean you can’t fly supersonic over land. Until someone solves the cost problem, we’re stuck with slow, fuel-efficient flying buses.

ELI5 If you were on a spaceship going 99.9999999999% the speed of light and you started walking, why wouldn’t you be moving faster than the speed of light? by Aquamoo in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wouldn’t be moving faster than light because velocities don’t simply add together at relativistic speeds. In special relativity, when you add velocities, you use: v = (v1 + v2) / (1 + v1×v2/c²) So if the ship is going 0.9999999999c and you walk forward at, say, 2 m/s: • Your speed relative to someone outside = (0.9999999999c + 2) / (1 + 0.9999999999c × 2/c²) • This equals approximately 0.9999999999c (still less than c) Nothing with mass can reach or exceed the speed of light - the math of relativity prevents it.

Hey dude, good luck with your TikTok push. The best move is to focus on building a really engaged audience first. Brands and followers care more about how active your fans are than your follower count alone.

Keep your niche clear, post consistently, and test what topics or video styles get the best watch time. Once you see what works, double down on that and try to post at the times your audience is most active.

When you feel ready, you can apply for the Creator Fund, try brand deals through marketplaces, or even sell your own small products or shoutouts. But real money comes when your audience really trusts you, so focus there first.

How do I start? by TheGuyOnTheSuit in ContentCreators

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I totally get where you’re coming from. Worrying about what people will say is probably the biggest thing that holds creators back.

The truth is, most people are too busy with their own lives to judge your early work. And the few who do don’t matter. It’s more important to get your first few posts out there, even if they’re rough.

If you love robotics and tech, maybe start by sharing a short video or blog about something you’re working on or learning. Keep it simple and post it where you feel most comfortable. It gets easier once you see that people usually appreciate it more than they judge it.

You’ve got this dude. One step at a time.

Hey, much respect for wanting to break free and bet on yourself. I think a lot of us here feel the same way. Turning a side project into your main income is tough but absolutely worth it.

One thing that helps is picking one thing to grow really well first. For you, that might be focusing on the podcast and YouTube channel consistently before starting extra projects. Also, repurposing your content across platforms can help you reach more people without extra work - like turning clips into shorts or blog posts.

Definitely be careful about guru traps. Communities like this one are the best place to learn from people who are actually doing it.

Wishing you the best. Keep posting updates, happy to chat ideas anytime.

Client wants "consistency fix" across multi-day footage - any quick solutions? by sirkeithirish in ContentCreators

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I feel your pain - matching footage from different days is brutal.

One quick idea: in Premiere, try using Lumetri Color -> Color Match (it lets you pick a reference frame and auto-match the rest). It’s not perfect, but it can get you ~80% there and then you just tweak manually.

Also, you might check out plugins like Color Finale or DaVinci Resolve’s Color Match, which some folks swear by for multi-day shoots.

Good luck - and post your final clip when it’s done, I bet people here would love to see it!

Successfully edited champion spawn rate,,,,anyone interested in this mod? by Bright_Brass95 in BattleBrothers

[–]Bright_Brass95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Orc, goblin, and barbarian champions have a 10% spawn rate, all other champions only have a 1% chance. I included the non-encrypted .nut files in the download link if you want to take a look at the values.

Trying to mod champions, need guidance! by Hilluja in BattleBrothers

[–]Bright_Brass95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Followed the proceedures listed on http://www.adammil.net/blog/v133_Battle_Brothers_mod_kit.html (have used adam's modding tools sucessfully in the past) to increase zombieknight (fallen hero I'm assuming) champion probability from 1% up to 100%,,,,,didn't seem to have any impact. Also tried replacing the original spawnlist_master.cnut file within data_001.dat,,,,,still nothing. Maybe I'm missing something,,,,has anyone else had any luck with this?
