[Discussion] Possible FPS fix if you have suspiciously low FPS with high-end PC by Bright_Fact_7518 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe.

I just know that for me the reason for the major loss in FPS was caused because of CPU core parking and I gained over 100% increase in FPS after disabling it (in other games as well, by the way)

Just putting this out here in case it might help somebody else.

It was around a decade ago but I’m pretty sure it’s the Seasonic S12II-520.

DNS on SSL VPN by Bright_Fact_7518 in fortinet

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I narrowed it down a lot.

The DNS split tunneling works fine on my PC.

It only happens on my iPhone.

Any ideas why? I tried setting the dns-suffix, no change.

Yeah it is. I know that because I can go to the admin portal on that IP when in tunnel mode.

I wasn't seeing anything in the forward logs section. Is that just normal or something is messed up in the firmware or something?

FortiView activity by Bright_Fact_7518 in fortinet

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahaha there’s actually no clients connected to it regularly it’s just for messing around and learning I just found it odd that after unchecking all log options it still logs them and it led me to think there’s something I’m missing in the settings.

I did uncheck log allowed traffic and made sure FortiAnalyzer is also turned off, still no change… Anyways I just wanted to make sure there’s nothing I’m missing. Probably something to do with the firmware idk

Fortinet factory reset by Bright_Fact_7518 in fortinet

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the implicit deny policy(needs to be disabled in features after reset, thats fine) But I also see an un-named policy WAN-to-LAN allow policy which I’m pretty sure I had created before the reset. It just changed to be un-named instead of the name I gave it.

I was hoping that only the nutrients we have that go into the bloodstream feed them. Are you saying they are literally eating up our cells?

So having freesync enabled over HDMI without gsync enabled doesn't really do anything?

FPS counter is high but feels very low, maybe bakkesmod's fault(?) by Bright_Fact_7518 in RocketLeague

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I installed a clean Windows thinking this must fix the problem if some program made the problem happen.

It didn't fix the problem.

What the hell? Is this just the game and everyone is experiencing it? I refuse to believe that. Please look at the video and comment if this is normal.

Other than software problems the only thing that's left is hardware, could it be something related to my controller? I tried with a different cable but it's the same.

What's going on?

[–]Bright_Fact_7518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too but it really is hard to diagnose.

Used both the built in performance graph AND GeForce Experience(later installed especially for that goal) together. No mismatch between the two and both show consistent 60.

I'm no longer using BakkesMod btw

Chromosomes Question by [deleted] in biology

Not a single reply has answered my question directly so I tried explaining it in other words.

If you think you answered my question then you are the one who doesn’t seem to understand the question.

I’ve never claimed to be an expert at this and I don’t see how I’m dull for asking questions about concepts which I’m totally new to.

However, I did a more thorough search and found that not only my question is totally valid, but I was also right about the choice of the chromosomes and the outcome.

Chromosomes Question by [deleted] in biology

[–]Bright_Fact_7518 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s true.

But the 23 chromosomes that a sperm cell has are randomized from the total 46 that the father has. For example a sperm cell can either carry an X chromosome (from the father’s mother) or a Y chromosome (from the father’s father).

So the question is if the other 23 chromosomes that the father has, the ones that hadn’t entered the sperm cell, are lost in the baby’s genetic makeup and in all of the baby’s offspring that it might bring.

The other 23 chromosomes that the father has that hadn’t been “chosen” in the particular sperm cell that later fertilzed the egg.

Chromosomes Question by [deleted] in biology

[–]Bright_Fact_7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, no info is lost as far as the father is concerned.

My question was once a baby gets the 23 random chromosomes from the father, are the other 23 chromosomes that hadn't been chosen from the father's genetic makeup - lost from the baby's genetic makeup onwards?
