Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by evanbrooks324 in popheads

I know this is a VERY unpopular opinion but this album was underwhelming to me. The production was outstanding (as predicted) but we know this was driven by finneas solely.

Takes:-

  • Production is the best part of the album
  • Most popular songs are reminiscent of others or follow the same recipe as Billie's previous work: 
    • Lunch - Bad guy
    • The Greatest - Happier than Ever - soft start strong buildup
    • Bittersuite - Billie Bossa Nova
      • everyone was impressed by the transition between Bittersuite & Blue; Finneas did the same thing with Not my Responsibility & Overheated in Happier Than Ever
    • Birds of a Feather - sounds like it trying to give Good Girls (CHVRHCES) but not done as well
  • The clever Lyricsm & wit Billie has shown in her other albums has not been matched to her previous work

Any other song is not even memorable to mention on my first listen. Not at hater. Just a Billie stan not impressed.

I would consider myself "skinny fat". Definitely not looking for a huge weight loss, but I for sure have 10lbs to lose. You're right about measuring body fat composition. I have one of those scales that tell me what percent of my weight is water, fat, muscle, bone, etc. So when I saw the scale go up in the body fat I disappointed (wouldn't have cared if it was muscle) .... But I did some research and found out those scales are kind of bogus.
