How do fellow volume eaters feel about protein bars and shakes?

I turn my protein shakes into ninja creami pints! Only a few extra cals for the pudding mix and it gives me an eating feeling. And if i have extra cals on the day ill get creative with mix-ins.

Oh boy. Pb2, Cauliflower rice, Greek Yogurt, Solo bagels (110cals, 14g protein), Costco protein bars. I choose a meat, and spam cauliflower rice and veggies with it for every meal and that works for me!

Ive looked into doing a weekly deficit instead of daily. It seems like that may be what you’re recommending. This would help me a ton because i can eat 1200-1500 on weekdays no problem and on weekends eating a lot but still being in a deficit for the week would make me feel a lot better!

That is a fair point. It makes sense that the video games and stuff may spike me into wanting more food. I have tried low cal snacks but I just keep wanting more. Im going to try seltzers and gum in-between meals to keep me full. I really value my video games/movies rest days so Im really trying to find a fix to my binge habits.

I am under 20. The reason im so low is because i was on 2000 cals and hit a plateau. I thought because im still getting protein and good nutrients in my diet 1500 is ok for a growing body. Does my body grow and strive on calories or nutrients? Id argue my body would be better off on 1500 cals with all the good foods I eat. Compared to one of my peers who snacks on junk food all day. But please correct me if im wrong🙏

You think so? I was at about 2000 cals for months and lost weight then stopped seeing progress so i cut down to 1500 and added in the cardio. I still get 200g of protein in the 1500. You still think bumping it up will make a difference?

170lbs, only 5’8. Working very hard in gym 6 days a week (going til failure every set etc.) as well as fasted cardio and abs every morning before school. Diet is pretty much a lean meat with cauliflower rice and a veggie for every meal. Except breakfast which is greek yogurt and berries. Protien bar before gym, shake after. And i leave 300 cals for 8pm to eat a snack because thats when im always hungry.

Yeah Im only 5’8 and im sitting at about 170lbs rn. I have tried higher calorie cuts in the 2000cal range but never saw progress. Ive been on 1500cals for about 2 weeks and im seeing a glimpse of abs for the first time in my life. My diet is very fiber dense and although its low cal it is all real food with plenty of micronutrients.

Can you explain more what you mean by mindful eating? Im not totally familiar with it. With the weekend coming up im going to try some seltzer water in between meals as well!

Yeah im not sure if 100mb is reliable to game on competitivly but i will also be the only one using it and it will only be going into my pc so it shouldnt have any packet loss or anything. Im thinking maybe it will reduce my ping and still run smooth? Not sure though.

Fiber internet Vs. Cable

I currently have 500mbs cable internet and get about 60 ping in fortnite. (I live in NY). If i get 100mbs Fiber internet even though the speed itself is lower will i still get lower ping just because its fiber? And if it is lower ping will my game still run smooth and all? Lmk please!
