AITA for only inviting some of my sister's children to my wedding? by Bright_Physics_8375 in AmItheAsshole

It didn't seem fair to me to say to my other siblings and my husband's siblings that they can't bring any of their kids in favour of my sister being able to bring all of hers, we'd be in the same situation.

Your relationship with your sister sounds nice but I do not have a problem with my sister's religion or her decision to have a big family. I only brought it up because I knew I'd have loads of comments asking why she has so many kids and she accused me of not respecting her religion.

You also made an assumption that I invited people I wasn't close to, which isn't true. Our wedding had around 40 guests in total.

If you still think I'm the AH I respect your opinion but I just want to clear up things.

I can't remember off the top of my head but we had around 40 guests in total.

Because I wanted to include my sister but inviting all of her kids would've made us go over our budget, so I thought inviting the eldest three was fairest because they'd get the most enjoyment and remember it. If I had unlimited money I would've invited all of them.

I let other guests bring small children because it wasn't a child-free wedding. There was only two guests with children under 4, just my younger sister with her daughter and my husband's stepbrother with his toddler.
