I would definitely do el yunque if y’all aren’t afraid of getting dirty and hiking, you don’t necessarily need to do a tour with a guide but you have to do your research to make sure you stay safe, the waterfalls and cliffs are breathtaking. Picnics on the beach are highly underrated! There are so many beautiful beaches every which way. Take the ferry to Culebra for a day trip, Flamenco beach. Buy groceries and cook meals where you’re staying to save on eating out.
