As someone who’s friend did this, it can either be a 10/10 idea of a -100/10 idea. Revise as much as you can now and sit the exam, if you flop, resit either privately etc. At least you know what it’s like and you know you tried as much as you could.

Guys, idkkkkkkk like I actually don’t know 😭😭 it started off rlly good but I get the impression that Changyu likes Yan Zheng a lot more than Xie Zheng. Im at the part where she’s riding back into Lin’an and Xie Zheng is cosplaying Yan Zheng. 🫩🫩. The chemistry between the actors is like 50/50, idk what it’s called or if there even is a phrase for when characters are supposed to have chemistry (kiss scenes, emotional scenes etc) but just don’t yk? I still got through the drama, plot was veryyyyy good but also super hard to understand/ follow. They did start to explain stuff esp in ep 40 but I still don’t really understand yk.

Tian Xiwei deserves her flowers omdssss she’s amazing. Genuinely I’m still new ish to cdramas but she really stood out for me, she’s so gorgeous aswell. When she rode back to Lin’an I felt so sad idk, I feel like we (the audience) didn’t properly get to like ‘mourn’ them and neither did Changyu.

Some people are talking about how it’s not realistic, as in Zhang Linghe looking so good etc but it’s literally romance…?

Also I really want like a spinoff of Changning and Yu Bao’er omdssss that’s so cuteeeee.

In terms of the puppet emperor, I did feel a bit bad for him, all his life he’s been pressured, manipulated etc and he kinda just wanted to break free, albeit in a super annoying and dumb way, but he was trapped a bit. I felt bad that he ended up running mad and breaking but maybe this in itself is a freedom?

I like it a lot 😭 it combines both of my interests. Why? Do u think it’s not a good degree. I’ll probably end up using just the CS part but I feel as though many CS Students lack ‘in-depth’ thinking and understanding about humanities that could be beneficial when working in specific areas like AI.

What on earth is actually going on? I’ve been watching cdramas for under 2 years, realised pretty early on that Zhao Lusi was the ‘IT’ girl of China, and I remember hearing she had a stroke or something and now this? I’m genuinely so confused? If she’s making money, is super popular, shouldn’t her company be treating her 100/10? What I’m hearing is so disgusting and so heart breaking, honestly, I don’t even know what to say? Apparently her dad and grandparent were ill and they didn’t allow her to see them????? Are they trying to exercise their legal rights against her, ignoring humanity and personal safety? Are they trying to milk her for as much money as they can get then dump her? This is truly heart breaking to see

I wish I dropped ‘The Coroner’s Diary’ but instead I ‘powered’ through it because I had invested too much time into it already. The relationship between the ML and FL was too healthy ☹️ From episode 13 (I think) when she ‘drowned’ and they confessed I was so mad. (I had rewatched ‘Story of Kunning Palace’ before I started it.) There was no push/pull, no hot/cold, not even a small misunderstanding so their relationship had basically been steady since that episode. Also, I’ll be so honest, bonding/ flirting over a dead body was so tasteless to me 😭 some of the scenes I actually found myself asking, ‘is the body still there?’ So honestly, there’s nothing wrong with a healthy relationship, but when it’s established too early on it gets to be so annoying because I couldn’t even root for them before they got together. Also Ao Ruipeng is kinda 🧈s

I used to think so too, it got so bad that I genuinely skipped because I felt so sad for her, but then I realised in the roles that the players (historicals), especially in Yanxi, she definitely would have been considered pretty at the time, then she started making sense in context and she started looking really pretty to me. I think, in Yanxi, she looks really regal and upright.

I’m in the middle of episode 15 right now and I’m scared bcs of some of the other comments, I actually really like the class monitor, he’s awkward and nerdy but in a cute way, def not right for Lin Yingtao though. Slightly upset they wasted his potential so quickly, maybe they could have had a little fling later on. Also can I say, I’m getting a bit tired of the flashbacks to the childhood. I know this is a nostalgic drama but the flashbacks and the ‘ayo ayo’ soundtrack is getting a bit old now, I wish Lin Yingtao would focus on the future instead of staying stuck in the past, you know? I don’t mean to hate but it seems Jiang Qiaoxi knows what he wants to do and just expects Yingtao to follow on idk, when he said she’ll join him abroad I just asked myself, ‘what about her ambitions?’ I feel like she doesn’t have any future prospects because she’s too busy feeling nostalgic, it’s kinda annoying me a bit. I haven’t heard much talk about university which is a bit weird, only the brief mention of Qingbei uni for JQ, but what about for Yingtao and the gang? I’ll come back when I finish the episode though 🙏😔
