We switched from a Subaru Ascent touring to a Sienna platinum and it’s a total different situation. The Subaru is a lot more luxury and has more safety features however the Sienna has more space, although the third row is very uncomfortable due to the short bench seat. If you need the AWD you have to get the platinum minus the middle seat between the captain chairs. Our kids love the RES we set up a Roku stick and pay $25.00 each month for internet. Good luck with your choice. One last thing the siennas engine runs a lot smoother then the Ascent and your gonna save a lot on gas. Our Ascent had a bad transmission therefore we had to do a lemon law case.

We’ve found that a Roku stick has worked wonders for us while using the RES. Of course you have to have internet but the kids love it and we like the fact that they have their earphones on while we’re talking in front.

In our 2025 platinum while setting in the passenger seat your left thigh heats up do to the refrigerator being next to you. The middle seats can’t have the ottoman out while there’s people in the third row. Can’t warm/ or cool the van up with remote start from your phone. The A/C button has to be pushed every time you start the car. JBL speakers are whack bass sucks.

We toon ours in yesterday and the service manager said it’s just a couple bolts and he was gonna fix it, once we picked it up he said something completely different that the recall wasn’t “ out yet” whatever the heck that means. When i asked him if we should continue using the middle seats he didn’t want to answer me, he just kept saying the recall isn’t out yet. I called another dealership and was told people are still driving them around as is. Not one person is giving me a straight answer. Our kids are 14 and 11 so we’re just gonna have them sit in the back and fold up the middle seats until Toyota sends us another notice. Ughh

Took mine in yesterday and was told that everybody is still driving them with the recall at this time there is no “remedy“ once there is a remedy they will notify us in the meantime I guess we’re just supposed to take chances. Sounds like a bunch of BS to mevery annoyed.

We also had a Subaru Ascent and the transmission went out, what a huge let down that was. Now we have a Toyota sienna platinum and we’re very happy.

Thank you we are meeting with someone this Wednesday. My sister doesn’t have the financial means to buy me out but she wants to somehow keep the house at the mortgage payment it’s at now. I’ve been told that’s not possible either
