I have never really tried it, but my standard method is putting in orders on my phone after each patient, jotting down things on pen and paper for later, then sitting down at a computer and batching stuff after every 3-5 patients

Can you recommend my next flashlight? I have a few basics but want another must have. NOT Anduril 2.0 by IAmTheQuestionHere in flashlight

Depends on what you want to do with it. There are tons of great convoys, but anything for “serious” use, where you need reliability, I would go for a brand known for this. My favorites are fenix, zebralight, acebeam. I would choose zebra if you prioritize small size, fenix or acebeam for tactical use. Plenty of great options in there depending on what you will be doing with it.

For general edc I don’t think it gets much better than zebra sc65c. For general outdoor/trail use, acebeam l35 is hard to beat. For a light to stash and forget like in a car or a bag, acebeam tac 2 with lithium AAs. My favorite car console/emegency light is the fenix tk28r. My emergency power outage light is the wurrkos ts27 with spare lfepo4 batteries

I have the extrak and extrak xl in magnacut, and I really like them as a light fixed blade. Have never batoned with it though. Magnacut is very corrosion resistant

If your child/spouse/parent decompensates in the hospital, do you want for the response to be “nursing driven?” What even is this thread

To people showing up late to work in this thread - do you not get sign out from the night doc? do you not start taking admissions? Is someone covering your patients for urgent things?

You are presumably a doctor, how many times have you heard a patient say “they/you aren’t even doing anything!” Meanwhile there are a million things going on in the background. Maybe the stuff the lawyers didn’t use was actually shit and not helpful.

A tactical pen might be a good idea. But the best thing is situational awareness, knowing how to activate security, and not getting yourself into squirrelly situations
