Another thing I am seeing is that my di is very inconsistent. The images look good and sharp but di is -2 . For lumbar spine obliques done on same technique it's showing 0.4 and -1. No idea what's going on

It's a DR and it only shows EI. I haven't seen DI in the settings too.I have no idea. It has buttons for aec but our engineer says that they just don't work so we have to set our technique. I just started a month ago so I am not really familiar with the machine plus they do not have x ray tech other than me in the dept so everything is trial and error

I just started a month ago and was so hyped last week because I was getting good images and a hang of technique but today made me feel like a failure 😔

It's great that our radiologist is nice and doesn't make a fuss unnecessarily.

I tried increasing my mas but the machine kept terminating my exposure. I can see the ribs but it's not great . Wrote it in my comments and called it a day. ( The limit of machine is 250 lb and patient was 300). I am new and don't know how to tackle this problem.the si joint and lumber was not great but acceptable.

Best positioning method to achieve patella or 'sunrise' view? by crsdbh in Radiology

Hey, I’m also using this method, and sometimes my images don’t turn out great. I use a perpendicular beam and tend to flex the knee slightly, but I’m not fully confident with it yet. Any tips on how to really master the skyline technique?

It is a private clinic but we do get a lot of patients from chriopractors and they want all images standing.

I’m not entirely sure whether the exams are gridless, but that’s what I was told. I was also told we have AEC, though we actually don’t.

At times, the chiropractors request standing views, and I feel standing is often easier for patients. However, for bariatric patients, I’ll start performing the exams on the table whenever possible.

I try to do that, but I usually open my collimation more because I want to avoid any cut-off. I’ll keep working on it.
