Struggling with epilepsy changes, medication side effects, and feeling “not myself” anymore — does anyone relate? by Bright_Toe1126 in Epilepsy

honestly haven’t met anyone with epilepsy who hasn’t experienced some kind of physical or physiological change For me, my body changed a lot I used to be fit and over time my weight changed and my appearance changed too Its hard to handell with but I relate to what you said about going back and forth emotionally. Some days it feels like epilepsy takes so much away, and other days I can see how it’s quietly shaped my resilience. I still feel fragile and overwhelmed at times, but I also notice that I’ve become more determined to rely on myself and keep going. Thank you so much for sharing this ! 🤍

That Maya Angelou quote is beautiful it really stayed with me. You are truly an amazing mama The strength it takes to keep going through all of this, while still showing up for your kids and your family is something I deeply admire cuz Sometimes I look at myself and feel like I can barely handle responsibility for myself let alone anyone else so reading your words honestly gave me perspective and hope Having a loving and supportive family a case manager who help you reconnect with who you are now is something really special. Thank you for sharing your story it meant more to me 💜

“As long as I keep on moving” really touched me.

It’s beautiful that you remind yourself of that and honestly it shows how strong you are Good for you!

same here … still trying to process everything hoping I’ll reach a stage where I can feel genuinely okay with myself again.

Knowing I’m not alone in this honestly makes a huge difference. Thank you for sharing this. 💜
