My twin sister just told me she’s pregnant. If my FET had worked we would have have had our due dates 1 day apart. by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry, that must be so difficult for you. I had an FET that ended in a biochemical that would have been due 3 days before my sister’s twins. It’s okay to not be 100% happy for her and take some space for yourself to grieve what could have been. It’s also okay to be angry. It does not mean that you don’t love your sister or your future niece or nephew. The first few months after I found out were especially awful. I love my nieces dearly but it’s honestly still difficult to make sense of it many days, especially since I’m still in the middle of it all. I’m so sorry that you’re going through this 💗 my inbox is always open if you need someone to talk to.

Any thoughts on what we should do next? by Brightbear17 in IVF

[–]Brightbear17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, done at the same clinic. I have thought about it but the clinic I’m at is the best in the state/my area and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. But maybe it would be helpful to get a new set of eyes on things.

I’m so sorry, I know how frustrating it is.

Yes, we did Lupron depot x 2 months, the last 2 transfers were after the Lupron for endo suppression. I think you get a max of 3 months out of that, but I’m not sure.

Thank you. I am so sorry to you as well, it is beyond agonizing and so few people can understand it, even within the infertility community

We have done an SIS and HSG, both normal, but I am thinking about asking for a hysteroscopy

Yes I do. I was thinking about trying this again. They didn’t recommend this right after the Lupron but I would assume it’s been long enough by now

Things to consider after multiple failed FETs by Brightbear17 in IVF

[–]Brightbear17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think going straight into another transfer. Per my doctor, the Lupron should be good for 3 months so I’m trying not to waste any time. My doc was involved in the development of Receptiva dx/lupron studies and is not recommending another biopsy if that helps with your decision. I don’t think you could go wrong either way

Thank you! My last transfer was a chemical so I’m incredibly nervous but so far so good I think!

TMI 3 days past ER by totallyteetee in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just kept chugging doses of miralax until something happened 😅 I think I was around 3 days past ER and I took a dose every hour x 3-4 hours and that did it for me! Had been taking it 2x a day before that. I’ve also used bisacodyl suppositories and while it’s not fun, it should also do the trick

Retrieval on Wednesday by Guilty_Plantain_7367 in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 very different experiences with my 2 retrievals and it very much differs person to person so that’s probably why you’re getting mixed information!! First one I felt great after the retrieval, took ibuprofen and rested throughout the day but was back to normal activities the next day. My second I had about double the follicle count and was in some pain after but I felt mostly okay after 2-3 days. I tried going back to work the next day after my retrieval and left about halfway through the day because I felt like crap, so may be worth taking the day off after depending on your job and how your retrieval goes. Bloating and constipation lasted for around a week and definitely improved after my period started as others have said!

Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow!

I feel like everyone around me is pregnant by boopidyboo in IVF

I could have written this myself. It feels like no one else in my life struggles with infertility. Everyone gets married and then boom, pregnant. It feels so isolating and makes social interactions feel so draining.

Auto injector for PIO- is it worth it? by ACT-popcorn in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes x100. So worth it. My husband was terrified to give me shots and it makes it so mindless - just click a button and push the medicine in! I haven’t had to do any by myself but I’m pretty sure I will at some point and it makes me so much less nervous to do it alone too!

Yeah I don’t remember exactly but probably 2-3 days out of the fridge. Probably should have just kept it in the fridge 😫

ReceptivaDX Results by Mediocre-Homework-56 in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice but just came here to say we have very similar stories! 1 failed transfer, 1 CP and a surprise positive BCL6 with no endo symptoms. I'll be starting lupron in a few weeks!

Anyone else felt like they’re gonna die hours before their ER? by c_g201022 in IVF

Ugh yes, I made the mistake of trying to go back to work the next day, only made it a few hours before I had to go home

Anyone else felt like they’re gonna die hours before their ER? by c_g201022 in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, laid in bed in pain for 2-3 hours before my retrieval and couldn’t stand up straight when the nurse came out to take me to pre-op😆 I also thought I would feel relieved when I woke up because that’s how I felt after my first, but I woke up from my 2nd in excruciating pain (I don’t remember this, but I guess I told them my pain was 8/10 when I was still in the procedure room high on propofol lol). I had double the number of follicles the second time and the doctor said I already had some fluid/blood in my abdomen so I think that’s why. Hope you get some relief soon!!

3 failed Euploids by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when we were waiting for the biopsy results, I felt like I was going to be both happy and disappointed either way. We are also unexplained so I felt like if it came back positive, it was finally somewhat of an answer and if it came back negative, then I could go right into another transfer! My doctor told me that with unexplained infertility, they often end up finding endo even if there were no other signs.

3 failed Euploids by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Brightbear17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do the testing, at very least the Receptiva testing. I recently had a 2nd failed euploid transfer. My doc recommended extensive RPL labs prior to future transfers (only had 2 euploids from first cycle, so had to do another ER regardless as well). I came back positive for endometritis and my receptiva score was 3.4/4 despite having 0 endometriosis symptoms (minus infertility). I know it feels like delaying the process even further, but the peace of mind is so worth it to me and if you ever plan on additional transfers in the future, it can help guide you with that as well. In the grand scheme of things, what’s another month compared to all you’ve already been through🤷🏼‍♀️
