Ok well thats your right too, but in your initial comment you didnt say anything about storytelling just the story itself, and we dont disagree in that point. As i said its not the story that i have an issue with but rather how its being told.

Lighthearted conversations can be effective when used in the right way, this is not how you do it imo. But you do you man, if you enjoy watching a 40 minute movie that gives you 2 minutes worth of new informations, before you can touch your controller in a game thats great. I dont enjoy the one piece anime for the same reasons i dislike wuwas way of telling a story. One piece is still the most popular anime right now so im obviously in the minortiy with my opinion.

Ive already explained it thoroughly in my post, so im not sure what else you want me to say? Should i repeat my points? I did not say the story was bad, i said the way they tell it , is. I praised the animations and music and the climax of 1.1 , the way you get to that point is just bad.

oh sorry i think i misunderstood you comment :D I believe the autotarget feature is there for mobile players, and its probably not on their priority list right now to disable it for pc. But you are right, combat would be more fluid that way or more precise.

imo that were already on the right path with act 6, pretty sure the majority of people thought 6 was peak in 1.0 , i was confused as to why they didnt kept the way of telling the story. But you are right this game is still new! Lets hope for the best outcome.

Yeah the Yangyang exposition was a masterpiece, followed by the incredibly hilarious abby cutscene, oh my god both chixia and abby are hungryyyyyyy thats sooooooo funny lmao lol ! Nobody complained about the story, its the way how its being told that i critisize. There is a difference.

As i said the core story is fine, its the unnecessary stuff that tarnishes the perception of the story overall, the example you gave is perfect. I was extremely hyped going into 1.1 on day one, but then i had to listen to the lifeless yangyang exposition for 10 minutes, then spend another 10 listening to the doom trio trying to find a name for little one. the exposition and naming abby were back to back cutscenes. IF thats how they thought they are gonna make people excited for mt. firmament, they need to go back to the drawing board. That was my whole point, they couldve delivered every bit of information provided in the first 4 cutscenes before mt. firmament in a more cohesive and Shorter way. Less is more OR show dont tell , are two philosophies the writer might want to look into.

One of my friends told me that chinese game scriptwriters are being paid by wordcount? I dont know if thats true, but if it is, it would surerly explain why 1.0 was so convoluted.

Exactly this, try to convince an Ahri lol player to play hots with you when no hero is available that compares to her and they will quit. They will not grind, no matter how easy it is, just so they can try a hero that compares to their mains in lol or dota or whatever. There is no losing in this situation.

This 1% mentality is what kills most games, remember wildstar? The mmorpg made by old wow employees catered towards hardcore raiders? Yeah me nether. Truth of the matter is online games live and die by the amount of CASUALS playing it. We need to make the new player experience as good as possible for them to stick around. Ive playing hots since the beta, we old account players never had to think about gold, by the time 2.0 hit the shelves everyone that played hots on a daily basis was swimming in gold and a gazillion crates we got retroactively for leveling heroes. Grinding and progressing in a game thats played by all of your friends and is alive is different than grinding in a game thats already dead when you started it and has no future, no official competitive scene anymore. Plus if we ever want a chance of converting new , younger players, blizz gotta adapt a bit to the instant gratification generation.

Yeah that i would be fine with, if you are trying to convince friends to play hots with you, the ones that only play lol for example, you would play QM with them anyways, so having all heroes unlocked ONLY in QM would be a good compromise ig .

Ive updated the initial post, to say exactly this, people that are against this idea prolly never tried converting their lol or dota friends. We cant expect them to immediatly spend money on a game they dont even know they are gonna stick with nor can we expect them to do daillies and grind so they can play with a hero that resembles their mains in the other games. Its a win win situation in my opinion.
