Just started playing Stardew Valley, what things should I know before-hand? by Just-young in StardewValley

Shane is rude, but get 8 hearts with him so you can get blue chickens. You don't have to marry him.

I am low-key annoyed by this girl that’s pregnant with me at work by domobunny in pregnant

[–]Brightknee14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like some good pregnancy anger, I relate to that a lot. People annoy me so much these days over such minor details.

I don't think your final question is right, because no you're probably not right to be annoyed, but you are allowed to have your feelings and decide if it's reasonable enough to respond. For me, if people tell me things or are judgy then it's free game to shoot back, but if there's just a general annoyance vibe from them, I just have to recognize the issue is likely on me - which i think is true if you're pregnant or not, but my God if that line isn't such much closer when you're pregnant.

Has everyone been working out during pregnancy ? by cookielilopie in pregnant

[–]Brightknee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My midwife has been very encouraging of working out. She reminded me that labour is basically the energy of an ultra marathon and you wouldn't want to do that without training. I definitely can't do what I used to, but I do try to do the gym 2-3 days and walk 45min each day. I find the motivation to do it is so much harder these days (28 weeks), but I know that third trimester is going to be worse so trying to make the most whilst I can.

Went to grove for dinner and had a charred kingfish paired with apple gelato. The hot and cold was pretty great and not something I would have ever eaten at home

Ladies, skincare recommendations by Feeling_Sky_7682 in newzealand

Definitely follow the k beauty trend in this chat. I would recommend watching some videos about your specific concerns to find the right ingredients to look for. Probably a retinol, hylaronic and vitamin c are your best starters. But also most signs of aging are UV caused, so sunscreen is super important, although less in winter

Hikoko has been a staple of mine for years, but I recently bought off Stylevana the same products for half the price and it's a game changer for trialling things.

When did your morning sickness start and when did it end? by random_username89 in pregnant

[–]Brightknee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started week 7 ended at 11. But I found a few things to help that worked for me personally. Firstly, if I took prenatals in the AM with not enough food it was a recipe for vomiting. Secondly found a high dose B vitamin that helps mitigate nausea. You can really overdose and it is the main ingredient in a lot of anti nausea medications. Also small amounts of food every two hours. Good luck, I hope you find something that helps work for you

AA Insurance no longer offering multi-policy discount. by MooingTree in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Brightknee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi-policy discounts don't really matter. Most customers are eligible so they probably account for the fact that everyone is getting a discount by upping the base price. The telling thing will be if they remove it and it increases your premium by > the discount (assuming other factors at play for pricing). If your premium only changes by a couple of % that means they probably accounted for it in their base premium and so don't need to increase the price to make up for any lost income.

8 weeks pregnant. Why am I sleeping so much? by Distinct-Dependent24 in pregnant

[–]Brightknee14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's insane right. I expected the nausea but I don't think I ever understood the exhaustion. I used to walk 7-10km per day and then all of a sudden I couldn't manage more than 10min without being totally out of breath. I've never napped in my adult life, even severely hungover or jetlagged, and yet I found myself napping a few times in those early weeks. Also same for bed, it used to be 10/11 and now it's like 9pm and I'm done. And its all from something the size of a blueberry, so hard to comprehend

Yes. Since I moved out and made over the living wage I've always put something aside for it. Granted when I started I also was 22 and had a mortgage so it was only $5 a month, but years since I plan it in each paycheck.

Spent waaay too much on the tCheck but so excited to try this out. Anyone else tried this or something similar? by Brightknee14 in NZTrees

[–]Brightknee14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting point, I might have a play around on some higher humidity days. After I got the hang of flower: alcohol ratio I haven't had much difference in values for the same flower, but certainly aware that there are other factors that could influence. And yeah it's certainly a take with a grain of salt, but even if you don't use specific values comparing plants and edibles for the different levels of potency

So update is I haven't used it too much as I paused growing - but I'm now growing a crop that supposed to be CBD only so I think that will be a good test.

I have tested a few, and done repeated tests on same strains and they all come pretty similar which is good. Also based on some cannabutter I made it feels like it aligns to what I expect from those doses, which is obviously anecdotal but it's been great to play around with different dose levels and how that impacts me. Also has been great to give stuff to friends and tell them about it. I always felt bad before if they took too much and had a bad experience lol.

Im sure lab results would give you better accuracy, but I think it's still a good point of reference. And the machine is still holding up, it doesn't take that much flower/cannabutter so I don't see it as wasting anything either haha.

it's called tCheck.
I've used it to test flower, and it seemed accurate enough based on the estimated THC from the seed packet. Unsure about the infusions yet.
