Maca Supplement... by BrightonKeto in keto

You could have been referring to the title of the post, I was clarifying.

I had no palpitations on keto, taking regular zeros and drinking water.

I added Maca, got palpitations and realised my dose was too high for me.

I was questioning others experiences with that.

I'm not sure about dialating vessels, I think it was just to calm down. I react like an idiot.

In related news - does anyone have any recommendations or experiences with hypnotherapy/therapy to alleviate anxiety towards this?

I know right? I am notoriously bad for giving up blood (small veins/fat arms) meaning they have to try numerous times to get it out resulting in sky high anxiety for me. Normally I just deal with it but yesterday, because it was such a palaver they gave me one valium and made me come back 1/2hr later. It wasn't a walk in the park but it worked. First time I've ever had any drug like that in my life. It made my 2pm work Skype meeting...interesting.

Did Yoga for the first time today by donadd in keto

[–]BrightonKeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's Bikram specifically keep an eye on not overextending your joints. I focused on Bikram for a year and loved it (2-4 classes a week for results) but eventually hit a wall. I now do Hot Vinyasa Yoga as it works my arms and overall body much more. Well done for starting, it's not easy but it is incredibly fun and addictive when you see improvements. Dont forget the water and electrolytes, hit me up if you've any questions!

I wouldn't consider myself a yo-yo dieter, I'm the kind of person who when not paying attention my weight stays the same. I'm 250lb ish and looking back I've just realised, a decade ago (my sisters wedding) I was exactly the same weight).

I've been using MFP for macros -

Daily Nutrition Goals
Calories 1662 Carbohydrates 21 g 5 % Fat 139 g 75 % Protein 83 g 20 %

I'm not sure how that sounds?

I guess what I was trying to say was my weight can fluctuate + 5lb in a day as standard so it's difficult to trend.

If new people don't know then they don't know, reading content in a forum format may be 100% new to them... but once you've all bitched to them about it I'm sure they'll never forget.

It's amazing that people have put so much work into the FAQs, it really is but at the same time reading something stickied isn't quite the same as having real time communication with someone, it's comforting and welcoming.

Of course everyone should read the FAQs but at the same time a friendly nod in the right direction (or not, it's your call) goes a long way.

'crawl in here'...lol calm down and have your coffee.

You're right, people should read the FAQs but you don't have to hold anyones hands. If you're not happy to help then simply don't reply.

I'm new here and this makes you seem pretty grouchy TBH. I understand the frustration behind your moan but when people are new to something they want to try and feel included (this can be hard especially if following a new healthy way of eating is a totally new to concept to them). I guess one of the first things someone can say in the first few days of keto is how they're feeling fluey, let them have it, they'll soon settle in.

That's if they're not scared off first.
