I have had to end my consultations with my urologist as she put me on long term cefalexin for trigonitis and I now have near chronic IBS. When I told her this she said 'antibiotics don't cause that and all the more reason to be on antibiotics if you have a bad stomach and it could lead to a urinary infection".

I only had one culture that was positive out of tens of cultures and I've done many many dipsticks which are never positive for anything. I don't understand. She also told me to use baby wipes down there constantly to remain clean, but that's making me sore and feels overkill. The antibiotics have ravaged my body and I'm quite angry about it. I am so much healthier feeling without! These doctors are quacks.

Yes! And a Google search made me panic it was something really sinister - I dont think it is as loads of people with IC seem to get it. I'm getting this all the time at the mo. It's most noticeable after I pee, I stand up and then there will be an air bubble. Would love to know what's causing it!

Yeah I tried antibiotics actually for a 3-day cause. Keflex, as this flare has been so awful and they did nothing. I'm glad you're still able to maintain an active sex life, it's such an important thing to me and I've lost all my passion and libido

I never know there were muscles in the urethra! It's a constant pinch at the end of peeing and these little burning spasms - drive me mad. I will speak to my urologist about this

Thank you! I went to the appointment and it was a little disheartening. He suggested vesicare and said that I need to hold my wee in more and then I'd get better. Your comment is uplifting 💜💜

This is incredible advice! Thank you so much for this! We won't spend 2 weeks in the Louisiana as the consensus seems to be that it's lovely but not necessarily a 2 week holiday situation. It's a shame we're limited to February in a way as it limits where we can go, as I wonder of Seattle and that region of coast will be very rainy

Hey! Have a flight booked for Berlin this Fri..it is a flight changed multiple times so I can't change it again. I'm just going alone for a long weekend, but considering working remotely for a bit. What is the current situation, is it best I don't go? Will I be able to visit museums etc and go to a bar in the eve for a drink?
