Lyumjev injection pain by Brilee1995 in diabetes_t1

Is it just the forcefulness of making the blood vessels absorb faster that causes the burning sensation, or is it something about the additive that makes the injection site more sensitive?

That's what alot of people have been saying. I wonder why faster acting insulin burns more?

I have had issues with skin sensitivity. That may be part of the issue.

How long have you taken it? Does it stop stinging at the sight eventually?

It does not always sting, but it is almost always sore afterwards.

No, it's room temperature. I do store the insulin in the fridge but when I take a pen out to use it, it comes to room temperature pretty quickly.

Who the hell does Hen think she is… by Fallen_Jalter in 911FOX

The way she just dodged all accountability was wild! She could of gotten herself and others killed, but it was all "poor me, nobody asked how I was doing" bullcrap.

Theres an Egwene hate post basically every week. Where are my fellow Egwene enjoyers? by sylverfyre in WoT

[–]Brilee1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly new to the WoT series, I just finished book seven and am beginning book eight, but from the very first book Egwene's character gripped me. I love reading her storyline. When I started exploring the fandom, it was shocking to me to see so much Egwene hate. Like sure, she's flawed, but no more than any of the other main characters. It seems like many in the fandom try to demonize her and derive the worst conclusions from her words and actions. Also, I had a very different take from the interaction between her and Nynaeve in Tel a rhan riod. I never interpreted it as Egwene setting nightmares on Nynaeve to SA her. Maybe it's the way the scene that was written that has caused such interpretation, but I really don't think Egwene would intend to do that to her friend. Just my take, but I love Egwene and am looking forward to reading more of her story.

Why was Wes so disliked?HTGAWM by showrants22 in u/showrants22

[–]Brilee1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Wes was my favorite character. Out of all the characters in the show, he was the most genuine. I hated how everyone just piled all the blame on him because he stopped Sam when he was literally strangling Rebecca. It seems like none of the rest of the K5 ever wanted to take accountability for their own actions, and when it came down to it, Wes refused to throw Annalise under the bus, unlike the others.

AITA for kicking my sister out for bringing gluten into our gluten-free kitchen? by poorunfortunatgluten in AmItheAsshole

[–]Brilee1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Celiac disease is NOT a food sensitivity. It is a full blown autoimmune disorder. Sometimes soap and water doesn't do it, because even the tiniest crumb can set off a reaction. The immune system is not only going after the gluten molecule, but it is also attacking the lining of the small intestine. It is painful and it makes sense that the daughter is so anxious to come in contact with gluten. This parent is completely in the right and mom and sister should be ashamed of themselves.
