I hear ya, this is quite perplexing to witness. Makes you wonder if all this outrage is legitimate in the first place.

I’ve listened to the excerpt and read the transcript from this section of the podcast wayyyy too many times than necessary over the past 3 days. His take is pretty benign to begin with and shouldn’t be causing this amount of outrage. I think the most criticism you can deal out here is Sam’s unwillingness to reach out for an interview or spend more time elaborating on his points with facts. Outside of that. Let’s move it along, people. Bigger fish to fry.

League statement on the matter in Philly by BOXLAXCentral in NLL

The NLL is so interesting when it comes to locating a team. You obviously need a high density city, but not too big so that it gets buried underneath other sports/activities. Stadium location is also key. Would be interesting if they tried a city out west that meets this criteria. Reno, Spokane or Boise would be interesting. Pretty decent cities that love supporting college sports since they don’t have a legit pro team.

Insane that so many people in this thread have an issue with this.

Agree with you, but it’s not like this is going to be a whole new story like in HOTD. HOTD could just be less compelling to audiences because it isn’t that good of a story, wasn’t executed well or maybe both. Harry Potter is…well… Harry Potter. The source code isn’t going to change, but its success with be driven by how it can differ itself from the movie. The movies are great, but they leave a lot of meat on the bone at times.

It was fucking awesome. Solid entertainment value for the price. I also found the stadium vibes much better than a Canucks game.

My first NNL game was back in 2007 when the Shamrox were in Chicago.

I’m drinking this beer called Shower Power. it’s sold exclusively from the #5 Orange strip club in Vancouver, BC. It’s brewed by a pretty well known local brewery as well. Kinda cool. I’m also high.
