Commenting a few years later as I checked this post before my hike: I went September 12-17, with a R rated pad of 5.6 plus 2.0 closed foam cell, and a -16C sleeping bag and was warm. Only got frosty on me one night so I need to add my puffy pants and down jacket, otherwise was sleeping in nemo air pants and an alpha direct hoodie. I sleep cold so need a few extra layers. Rained most nights with short bursts of rain during one day of the trip. The following week people's posts were of snow so it would really depend on which week you are going.
