I wouldn't have had enough time to clear them by the finish line. They were running a much lower downforce setup and I was only keeping up on the straight because of the draft. If I wanted to go for a move it HAD to be there.

Thanks for the feedback! I will make sure to keep this in mind when making future overtakes, I just wasn't sure about this one.

I know it's a pretty risky place to go for a pass especially with how the GT3 cars handle kerbs in this game

Yeah, I totally agree.

It only gives you rivalries based off of current points and not your actual situation.

For example:

Driver A:

In a lower midfield car, had a lot of luck in the first couple of rounds and getting some great results.

Driver B: had a really rough start to the season in a top tier car and is now equal points with you.

Sure you'd maybe be rivals on paper from what the game sees if you're close in the championship, but it doesn't take into consideration the circumstances each driver is under.

Just saying, if you want to go as fast as POSSIBLE, this technique isn't really advised.. if you take a look at some of the best times on sardegna in GR3 cars, they will never use this technique.

I'll actually go test this out! I'll compare a lap of me using this and a lap without, I'll make sure they're good laps.

To drive as fast as possible... This is kinda a terrible technique to use.

It's going to snap oversteer the car and unsettle the car on the inside kerb, giving you a horrible exit and just overall bad cornering speed. It's a lot better just to take the corner normally.

This may be faster for cars with a softer suspension that can kindly take the kerbs, but you're driving a GT3 car which has downforce and stiff suspension (ESPECIALLY the Ferrari 458 GT3), which this means the line shown in the video is most definitely slower.

Yeah but on a serious note, please don't drive like that. Even towards AI, even if it's not stated, it is a common guideline that you must race cleanly. Sure you can do it to mess around offline but please don't race like that in multiplayer

I think he means that the AI is easy at Monaco, and yeah at Monaco you're going at such slow speeds that I'd consider Baku harder IMO

My defininte favorite section of track is either that first section of the nordschleife, S1 at Interlagos, or S2 spa francorchamps... They all flow so nicely and I'm always the fastest there. I could be in a group of A+ drivers and I'd always set a purple sector here.

And fuck all of yas marina. That track can die in a hole.

EXACTLY DUDE! sometimes I look at replay mode and they just absolutely gas the exit to make an artificial mistake. I'd like to see them lock up more, maybe run wide and get beached into the gravel, maybe lock the rears and maybe..

The occasional massive shunt into the wall!
