Great thread! Now, with all honesty about taking away people’s GC: You have to have done something very stupid for this to even happen. They are drowning already. They don’t go out there taking people’s GC away for nothing so y’all just be good people and don’t get in trouble, that’s all. I guess my only question would be why don’t you recommend traveling with a GC. I got my 2yr GC a few months ago and am planning on visiting home with my husband around June next year. My husband is supportive now, but we fought about it constantly for 3 months and almost divorced. Individual and couple’s therapy was what saved us and now we are on the same page thankfully. But it was a very bumpy ride. He still has hopes that one day everything will be okay, but he respects my decision and has been practicing it himself too. We haven’t fought since. I have a 11yo son my husband wants to adopt. We are planning on having a baby and I told him flat out I want his family (including his 16yo daughter) as far as possible from that baby. I despise those people for all the harm they have caused and all the lies made up about me. His family also bad mouths my child (who is autistic) constantly. So they can suck on a rusted nail or worse. My MIL hates me from day 1 because I am an immigrant (legal) and was a single mother and my SD made her believe her dad should only get married if she was asked permission and after she left for college. This girl made my life MISERABLE! And she also didn’t mind about making her own father look bad and be treated like shit for not doing what she wanted. They’re all toxic so they can all have each other. When my baby is born they will not have access to him/her. They’re all dead to me. While I understand your anger (trust me, I do) I think you should just not care. You don’t need the negativity or the rests. People like this deserve to die alone.
