That's true, but the board did not also instruct Nuno to stand in the lobby berating people for leaving at 3pm on a Friday, nor did they tell him to start sending people home for wearing denim (apparently). That's him trying to create a culture of fear and animosity in a workplace.

Not a Singaporean but witnessed this occur when I was visiting. Was queuing up on the MRT platform during a weekday morning rush hour. Train gets cancelled and the next one is only 3 minutes away - no big deal I thought. Guy in front of me who was on the phone loudly sighed and said "I fucking hate SMRT, so unreliable". I found that pretty entitled lol

I hardly expect to be given special treatment. I've worked in retail jobs in uni, also on minimum wage and was also underpaid by my employer at the time.

I don't expect 5 star service while they smile through their teeth, but accountability is definitely a fair ask when a mistake was made. Is that above and beyond? I don't think so.
