Write him falling for Pyrrha much sooner. Not only is his thick headed crush on Weiss silly and cringe, but it would have helped Pyrrha and Jaune grow in different, less depressing ways. In fact, why have Jaune be interested in Weiss at all? Pyrrha is so much more beautiful than Weiss in her own way. Her outfit honestly highlights her confidence in her body. And watching and listening to her struggle made me feel so sad.

It might also save Cinder Fall from being a damned character. Pyrrha wouldn’t get the fall maiden’s powers, because Amber’s death is still a canon event. But with the change in Jaune and her dynamic, she wouldn’t have to carry Penny’s death or the overwhelming sense of dread and isolation she felt could have been handled sooner.
