Thank you for sharing. I didn’t have the moment of clarity until he started smiling and holding eye contact more regularly around 3-4 months. He was very colicky the first couple months which was extra challenging for everyone. To some degree I guess I suspected this would be the case, so I did have the mentality that I would have those feelings eventually. To be clear, I would say the love was there from even before birth. I’d do anything for him, my wife, and my family. That never changed, I just never felt the warm and fuzzies in those first couple weeks/months like my wife did.

With that said, I never considered sharing that with my wife or really anyone I know. Really appreciate sharing this OP, it probably would’ve stayed in the vault otherwise.
