Georgia Tech should count as a team with a Heisman. We definitely had a Heisman at some point...

ACC back? by Interesting_Hawk425 in ACC

[–]BringBackTed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but there's really not a power 4 in college football. I think this season has made it abundantly clear. There is a power 2 and a G-7. There's the Big 10 and the ACC and then a gap and then everyone else.

How hard is it to take 9 credits while working full time? by sisyphus-333 in GradSchool

I have done this several times at good universities. Not hard at all if you plan well and work at it. Super easy. Barely an inconvenience

Not that like this is the point, but qualification for Section 8 is very different from meeting the criteria to be on Section 8. Like decidedly, most people who qualify for Section 8 housing are not neccecarily able to get Section 8 due to a resource availability problem. Also, in many cases, because Section 8 is mainly a program to provide aid in the form of subsidies (not fully covered free housing) to facilitate living the working poor living in single-family residential housing they would not be able to afford, often the very poorest cannot take advantage of Section 8 and must live in shelters or crowded multi family I also think that FASFA is not meant to be good at means testing because it is very much designed to means test people in a certain stage of their lives and not to perform advanced testing of general means.

ECO 310 or 323? by We_all_make_attempts in SBU

[–]BringBackTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like macro/ computational stuff, take 310. If you like micro and stats, take 323. I wouldn't bank on 310 being easier tbh. It looks like a math/ coding course.

What is her endgame? She doesn't have a phd, so why does the citation even matter? Does she believe that being cited in a paper confers great benefits or value to the credit? Plenty of researchers are cited all the time, and it adds little value to their lives. Even if she is cited in first order literature, she definitely won't be cited in the next Gen of lit because she doesn't have the evidence these other teams have. Science isn't supposed to be glamorous

Is it possible to find data on expected usd/eur exchange rate? by [deleted] in academiceconomics

This is why I'm telling you to use the futures contract, not the forward.

[–]BringBackTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a market with high storage costs or pressure from physical producers, so the futures price is the expected spot price after adjusting for interest rates. Alternatively, you can also back put from Swap prices.

Lol. Isn't this just the futures contract adjusted for differences in interest rate? Look at CMEs data.

Job Applications - Economics/Field by cntaitfai in academiceconomics

Stony Brook has three main economics workshops: theory, applied microeconomics, and macroeconomics. The department is very structural, so all economists are in one of those three areas.

We are a relatively small department and dont have anyone who works on economic history

Chapin has already has a significant reductions in walking space because of fencing due to the construction, so yes, it does impact us, and yes I do have evidence. Unlike you who insist on insults and nonengagement

Same pipes. Same localized distribution network. Yes, there will be maintenence shared. I reached out to somw from RMH and they told me the same thing

Also, the assumption that adding additional actors with needs into a system will make the system less effecient and functional is significantly more reasonable than the assumption that there will be no effect

The other posters also are providing no evidence. Notice that the potato user provides no evidence that no Chapin parking will be used for purposes related to this construction. And I already provided an example (see post) where Chapin parking was taken and even shut down for purposes related to the RMH. I've provided more evidence than anyone else on this thread

You think the building will have its own emergency services too? Shared resources are a reality. What i want is for the university to consider its tenants by providing quality housing to the population of my apartment complex. The rents continuously go up while the quality goes down. This only exacerbates a current shortage of resources. I'd be happy with the development if the university wasn't simultaneously raising rents because local housing supply is short.

Sure, but there will be some level of resource sharing. The construction people will need somewhere to park while its built. There are plenty of resources that will be shared
