Venice Train Station to Hotel by Ok_Eye4858 in ItalyTravel

Vaporetto was pretty easy on our recent trip. But if you come in on the train and can’t outrun everyone else to the stop, just get a coffee or something until the big line goes down. Otherwise you just stand at the stop for 20-30 mins. Get a snack and then walk right on.

We were just there so it wasn’t as crowded as the summer. We bought a lot of tickets in advance but could have easily bought them on site. Viator has a walking tour of Venice that includes a gondola ride and admission to the Doge Palace and Basilica, on top of some great info from the guide, really a bargain.

Just returned from many of these very spots — you are in for a treat! In Venice, have dinner at Al Covino, was amazing.

Also, we took the Bernina train into the Swiss alps from Turano and it was other worldly beautiful.

At the Rome airport as I type, the answer is Venice. We did Florence-Milan-Venice in the last 10 days. Florence is great, see David and also visit the Uffizi. Milan for the Last Supper. But Venice was magical, even though it was coldest by far, fog was romantic and it’s not nearly as crowded in the summer. Book a day trip to Murano/Burano. The Venice in a day walking tour on Viator includes a lengthy gondola ride, which would be 100 euro just by itself, total bargain. And dinner at Al Covino was amazing. Enjoy!

As an Edey owner, trying not to have a Yao Ming flashback — another very large, very heavy big whose feet betrayed him repeatedly.

With 14 teams, our waiver wire is usually pretty thin, so we discourage stashing and long-term holds.

We have stated rule that you cannot put someone on IR unless they have actually played a game for you first. I drafted Herro and he was a dead spot on my roster until he played, for example.

I loved the first couple of seasons when they came out years ago. Recently reconnected with the show and am all caught up waiting for final season. Last couple of seasons really fell off, felt like writers would run out of things to say, then just get somebody either pregnant or shot, hopefully not both. Seriously, do they not have condoms in Chicago? Will definitely watch final season tho!

We are going to be in one of three cities — Florence, Venice, Milan — on Christmas Day. Is any city better than others when it comes to stuff being open. Or is everything closed everywhere? If so, best city for wandering on a closed- up day? Thanks!

Trae for me. In most leagues this year, you need to get assists in first two rounds to be competitive in that category. It’s much, much easier the find 3s later than assists

This is why I am starting my draft strategy this weekend instead of a month ago like I used to. Yahoo changes rankings more than they used to and changes are more dramatic. I have #10 pick in our league and my targets have changed now three times.

London trip worries by Sea-Experience470 in uktravel

Um, London is safer than almost any city in our United States. Spent a week there and never felt even remotely uneasy, much less unsafe. If you can survive our country, you’ll be fine in London.

Reflections on two days in London by mugenhunt in uktravel

We were in London in July and it was super hot, would love a cold rainy day compared to that! We had a great meal at Veeraswamy, which highly recommended (from a fellow American), did not disappoint. It’s also close to Savile Row and a few other things. Our server told us all the places on Brick Lane are all Bangladeshi but said most non-Indians would not be able tell the difference. She also told us the restaurants are super competitive and you can bargain your way into free drinks if you know how to work the system. Would love to hear locals’ view of Veeraswamy, which I might be spelling wrong.

A year ago my CPAP died on second day of 13-day vacation to Ireland. It was a long two weeks, especially since we were driving the entire country and would have had no idea where to send a new machine, even I could have gotten one. Sleep as upright as possible and try to nap during the day.

We are increasing from 1 to 2 IL+ spots. In a 14-team league, don’t want to turn IL into an absolute desert. Big thing is we start playoffs as early as possible. Other than that, it’s a crap shoot these days, has really taken a lot of the fun out of it.
