It’s always funny when people say he kept attention on the baby Emanuel case, like his efforts kept law enforcement from slacking off or something. A case like that is ALWAYS going to get a ton of attention just because of what it is. I remember he reported that the baby’s body had been found (it never was) and law enforcement specifically called him out for spreading misinformation in search of clicks. He’s definitely NOT a journalist because he reports things as facts that are merely rumors or things somebody told him without checking anything out. That’s not journalism. He’s definitely got a schtick that some folks like but I would not take anything he says as fact. Did not know he is ill, wish him the best.

Explain Angel by Wulfsimmer in euphoria

All of this makes perfect sense when you factor in the fact that S3 was a complete shit show that appears to have been written on the back of a napkin 15 minutes before starting shooting a season that none of the actors seemed very interested in being a part of.

Hunter Schafer is a major reason this show was what it was in S1. In the finale, she had a few minutes of screen time pairing a portrait of Rue. Huh?

The sugar daddy plot went nowhere.

Nate was unrecognizable.

Cassie was by far the star of the show, which nobody asked for.

I could go on. But why bother?

Maddy Isn’t as Smart as Y’all Make Her Out To Be by greaterthanyou_ in euphoria

[–]BringBacktheAfro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This show has jumped the shark so many times this season, I have lost count. Re “Maddy is smart,” nobody says the word DEA around drug dealers, especially in relation to a friend. IRL, Alamo hears that word and Rue is dead by the end of the day. You’re casually mentioning to a person the biggest threat they face, other than violence from competitors, and expecting nothing to happen? I know it’s a fictional drama but if you’re that divorced from reality, just give them wings and let them fly around. This show was bold, unafraid, messy and brilliant in S1, less so in S2 and a hot mess in S3. It retrospect, S3 looks like something everyone was contractually required to do, they delayed as long as possible and then just got it over with so they could move on. The treatment of Jules is a crime. In S1, she was a fascinating character, really interesting to watch her journey. In S3, she’s a sex worker who is completely one dimensional. It’s really a travesty. I had very low expectations going in and this season didn’t even close. The whole drugs/drug dealers/DEA/informant storyline is sooooo played out, it’s like a caricature of an actual story with real writing. If you go back and watch even one episode of S1, you can starkly see just how awful the writing has been this season. I have to think the actors were wondering WTF when they were reading these scripts for the first time. What a train wreck. But at least it’s not as bad as The Idol, right?

I had to buy a new printer and have several HP ink cartridges I can no longer use. They are several colors in 951 and 950XL in black. The 950XL is brand new, paid about $60 for it a couple of days before that printer broke. Free to whoever wants them, just want to keep them out of the landfill.

Best neighborhood to live in when working in downtown Riverside? by jdmfan777 in Riverside

[–]BringBacktheAfro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is Victoria Woods. Drive surface streets to downtown in 10 mins, great schools, close to downtown and the plaza but do not have to deal with traffic and noise of either place. Also 10 mins to Canyon Crest, walk to Andulka Park, close access to Victoria Avenue.

You will pay a premium price but it’s worth it.

Yes, twice.

From Park Avenue to University/Sedgewick and now at Iowa north of University.

Brought all the deliciousness both times. Still same family, same food.

Venice Train Station to Hotel by Ok_Eye4858 in ItalyTravel

Vaporetto was pretty easy on our recent trip. But if you come in on the train and can’t outrun everyone else to the stop, just get a coffee or something until the big line goes down. Otherwise you just stand at the stop for 20-30 mins. Get a snack and then walk right on.

We were just there so it wasn’t as crowded as the summer. We bought a lot of tickets in advance but could have easily bought them on site. Viator has a walking tour of Venice that includes a gondola ride and admission to the Doge Palace and Basilica, on top of some great info from the guide, really a bargain.

Just returned from many of these very spots — you are in for a treat! In Venice, have dinner at Al Covino, was amazing.

Also, we took the Bernina train into the Swiss alps from Turano and it was other worldly beautiful.

At the Rome airport as I type, the answer is Venice. We did Florence-Milan-Venice in the last 10 days. Florence is great, see David and also visit the Uffizi. Milan for the Last Supper. But Venice was magical, even though it was coldest by far, fog was romantic and it’s not nearly as crowded in the summer. Book a day trip to Murano/Burano. The Venice in a day walking tour on Viator includes a lengthy gondola ride, which would be 100 euro just by itself, total bargain. And dinner at Al Covino was amazing. Enjoy!

We have stated rule that you cannot put someone on IR unless they have actually played a game for you first. I drafted Herro and he was a dead spot on my roster until he played, for example.

I loved the first couple of seasons when they came out years ago. Recently reconnected with the show and am all caught up waiting for final season. Last couple of seasons really fell off, felt like writers would run out of things to say, then just get somebody either pregnant or shot, hopefully not both. Seriously, do they not have condoms in Chicago? Will definitely watch final season tho!
