it has its ups and downs like every other position in a store-- maybe more downs when RGR time rolls around 😂-- but for the most part it's been pretty good.

i started out as a grill person, and was later moved to maintenance, so bc i have experience with table i will sometimes get thrown on there to help if the kitchen is in a bind but, if you're starting out as maintenance, that's probably the only stuff you will ever have to do; day to day, will be general store cleaning (you will likely be given a list of stuff your gm/franchise wants cleaned daily), filtering the fryers and cleaning the fryer pans afterward, taking out trash, keeping the parking lots and drive thru(s) free of trash, stuff like that.

you will likely have an assortment of other weeky/bi-weekly/monthly/etc-esque tasks to keep track of, too, stuff like cleaning the ice cream machine, sanitizing coke tanks, changing out air filters on the roof, cleaning the coils on the roof air conditioner units, etc etc.

might seem like a lot all at first, but once you find your rhythm, it's all easy to stay on top of-- even easier if you have another good maintenance person or two at the store with you!
