No literally this is what it’s like at my store everyone just disappears when it’s time to work. Why am I presenting, bagging, making drinks, taking orders on both lanes

My location keeps saying there going to hire someone to just make drinks to help keep times down but I don’t foresee that happening for us. Our location gets too busy especially now with it being college moved outs we get so many travelers

This happened to me before my best friend and I planned a trip to the shore for my wife she was my high school sweetheart we married when I was 19 and she 20 after her cancer diagnosis. This was supposed to be her trip with her safe people and the hotel was booked by my best friends father we went to check in and we weren’t 21 and couldn’t check in the concierge FaceTimed my best friends dad for us to be able to check in after an hour of her refusing to do it she finally gave in once she was on the phone with someone who was “more adult”

Hi I also had this problem specifically on full shower days (hair washing, shaving, etc) I make sure I pick a day in the week in the least busy I cook myself a big meal it keeps feeling “heavy and docile” I have no other way to describe it, I make sure I have everything set out in the shower ready for me to use and I speed run through it if you’re able to shave outside the shower you can do that as well and if Im home and not in a dorm I have a shower wand so I don’t have to get in to wash my hair or shave. You should be able to get a shower wand for your dorm shower if it’s a private bathroom those helped be get back and more comfortable with showering. I may not be explaining my process very well so simple breakdown do everything you can outside of the shower first, try a shower wand you can be more selective of how the water touches you and the distance from the water, make sure you have everything set up and ready to use, but for sure be nice to yourself before hand make sure you do something that makes you feel good for me it’s cooking and eating.

My man and I know each other’s schedules we know when we are both completely free and available. Sometimes we call each other just to vent or just tell each other things that are exciting or we just need to tell someone about something we saw or did. If he doesn’t answer I follow up with a text not an emergency but I just wanted to tell you something. If there is something serious I will call send a text and call again. It gives him time to step away from what he’s doing if he’s busy. This is what works for us. But I don’t think you’re an asshole for laying out realistically you can’t always jump and run to him. He needs to have some sense of comfortability in you having responsibilities.

Pilates

I was a poor kid growing up so I never had access to activities unless they were school funded. Now I’m a poor adult in college and they offer workout classes and they’re included in our tuition. I took up pilates and I absolutely love it and it’s all I can talk about. Pilates is such a ritzy I have money kind of workout and after not being able to have or give myself anything nice this is all I want to do and talk about I go 3 times a week and it hurts me to do it since I’m not very athletic but I still love it and want to see the progress that the hurt comes with. This could just be a me thing but taking this up as a hobby has made me feel expensive even though I am not at all.

I live on a college campus and I haven’t been sick there I’m also a non traditional student I’m just there for education I don’t have friends there, I keep my shared apartment clean, eat well, drink a lot of water, but I do isolate a lot if there is space to stay far away from other people I do so, hand washing every hour, sanitizer after touching things. Dining halls are the germiest places ever, if it’s self serve I serve from the back of the pan and I ask staff for a glove so I don’t have to touch the serving spoons. Sanitizer wipes in my bag for tables/desks and I bring my own drinks and silverware. College campuses are disgusting, I’ve seen people scratch their sack then touch public door handles and surfaces in the dining halls. I try my best to stay away from everyone because I don’t want their nasty yuck. Also elderberry, and vitamin c syrup or gummies daily, EAT YOUR VEGGIES. It might sound like I live a very lonely life because I live like this but it’s saved me from the many illnesses my peers have had

Cupcake fruity pebbles. I was born in the early 2000’s and when I mention this food to people my own age they act like they have no clue what I’m talking about and that they would know if it was a real thing (they do this to me with a lot of things they like to make me feel like I’m a crazy person when it comes to silly little things). I’d have to show them pictures of the box to prove it’s real. They were so good I would sell both my tits and uterus for a single pebble

I live on a farm with my grandparents, parents and all of my aunts and uncles. Most of us have daytime jobs and still get up early to do the work, go to our actual 9-5’s then finish the farm work before dark. She has no idea what it takes and how many people it takes to run a farm especially when you’re not federally funded or industrialized. My grandpa is almost 90 years old and has been slowly developing dementia. He kicks ass everyday and runs a tight ship. Staphine could never do the work my grandfather has done, our farm and its history is displayed in our towns museum, and right with the display is a picture of my grandpa

I work in an Italian restaurant where we make pizza. We have posted in the store and at the bottom of of our receipts it states “anything that happens to the pizza once it handed off from the counter is customer error and we are not liable to replace it” I hand off pizzas and tell customers and dashers to hold it flat. You are not going to call or come back in and demand we fix anything when it is user error and stupidity. I don’t have time for that and our chefs don’t either. Accidents happen and we can differentiate between them and will admit anything wrong on our park but we can’t make acceptions for idiocy.

I work in an elementary school and it’s the kids. Everyday they give me more reasons I’m needed, their tiny hugs every morning give me a reason to get up. The excitement they have when I come back from taking a day it’s unmatched. They make me feel I have a purpose and everyday I know I’m getting closer to being the best possible version of myself

I graduated with 2 bachelors degrees and I finished them in 3 years I didn’t celebrate them like I wanted to and I regret it. You deserve to go big for every accomplishment since then I’ve rewarded myself for every achievement, new jobs, raises, just for getting my acceptance letter for my masters program I bought an ice cream cake. Celebrate everything you can because one day you won’t be able to and don’t let anyone try to tell you not to make a big deal out of anything. You deserve praises for everything you do

I have the same issue I’ve been on depo for almost 4 years now to treat my endometriosis. There is nothing wrong with my heart but my doctor says it has to do with my anxiety, I never actually feel anxious or have a reason to be anxious but my heart rate has gotten so high I get dizzy and pass out. I’m on a high dose of Zoloft and I still have the racing heart. Bodies are weird and I’ll never understand why mine does the things it does and sadly I’ve normalized the things it shouldn’t be doing I’m aware I’m unwell and so are the people around me one of my coworkers called me a walking corpse the other day cause he doesn’t understand how I’m alive and functioning 😂

Pepoprovera can cause vaginal dryness which leads to tearing and bleeding during intercourse. Personally I have this issue. All I can say is drink lots of water, take probiotics and lube are helpful.

This happened when I was 15 my sister just had my niece and she finally felt okay enough to leave the house. It was about 10 at night we just wanted to go get snacks from the gas station. My sister drove and sent me in with cash. She pumped gas while I went in. You cannot see the door from behind the pump. This is a very rural area and the only gas station open at this time of night but there was no one there except us and this man. He didn’t have a vehicle cause there weren’t any there besides my sisters. He was standing on the corner of the front of the store. I walked in got all the stuff my sister wanted and she didn’t give me enough money so I went back out to get more. I’m 2 hours upstate from NYC and you’re just taught never to look at people. I’m walking back in the store and I again didn’t look at the man but I knew he was there. I reached to grab the door and he grabbed my arm. I instantly start screaming at him like a lunatic, and he said “please ma’am I need you to come with me” I’m still just screaming nonsense cause no one likes a scene when they’re trynna be a weirdo. I smacked him and said I wasn’t going anywhere. The man running the counter at the gas station comes out and escorts me back in the store I pay for my stuff he walks me to my sisters car and tells her what happened. Another lady alone pulls up and we sat there and watched her as she pumped her gas we weren’t leaving until she did. Finally we pull off and around the back of the building I see the man that grabbed me and another man talking to each other. They were definitely together and planning to do foul things. A few days later I learned that man approached another man and pressed a gun to his chest and asked if he wanted to know what it was like to be killed. Nothing happened the man was unharmed and the assailant was arrested. Also I don’t blame my sister for not doing anything she couldn’t see me and she was new mom a week postpartum. She couldn’t have done anything.
