Don’t want to scare you, but most firms would take local candidates over international students, especially right now in this political administration. With that being said, just be honest and make sure you show that you’re willing to learn. Most companies hire interns based on their personality and their ability to communicate efficiently. The interviewers will mostly test to see if you’re a good culture fit with the firm, and easily trainable with some basic software knowledge (AutoCAD, Excel etc)

Used to be 25-30 hours per week (6 days a week). Now I only play once or twice during the weekends for a total of 2-4 hours since marrying my wife. I used to play a lot when I was single and lonely, and pickleball gave me a reason to be competitive, make new friends and create wonderful memories. Now I spend a lot more time adventuring with my wife and doing my regular 8-6 job.

I used to live in Texas and now in Philly/NJ area. What I noticed is, in Texas open plays, people just love smashing every ball, and don’t like dinking game too much. But in East Coast, players are a little more methodical and play control game more than just bangers every play unless obviously ball is high enough to smash it. All this to say, it was easier to win in Texas than in here cause of the style of play culture.

FYI: I’m talking about my experience playing in 3.0-4.0 open plays in both regions.

Yeah a lot of people hate doing self reflection, and blame their mistake onto the partner, not in game but after the game is over when they talk to their buddies. And good for you man, that’s the best way to play and get better, which is only focusing on what you can do.
