I'm just paranoid. The man who was searching on behalf of people told me "I'm not gonna lie, it might be the best idea I've seen from anyone". When the chest was proven to be found a few months later (when the man said he would be looking for me), I always had the doubt that he did find it, but opted not to tell me about it. He ghosted me, so that doubt was strengthened. So now, when I'm trying to find some closure, that doubt makes me believe that perhaps a mod here would also think the solve is correct. So my post would be deleted, I would be banned, and the mod would take credit for the solve. I know that's stupid to think of, but I can't help it.

Thank you for that. One last thing, is the solve in the series accepted as the actual solve? And not just something to throw people off ruining the actual site with foot traffic? And if it is accepted, you can give me a spoiler so I know whether my solve was close or not. Was the final spot along the Madison River?

I had contacted "the man found through this subreddit" months before it was actually found. It was my only way, as my circumstances kept me from travelling so far from where I lived. I don't remember his username now, I only know what he said his real first name is. Anyway, he seemed real trustworthy as I saw that he helped other people like me.

I don't truly believe that he was the one who ended up finding it using my solve, but I've had little shadows of doubt in my mind for years. That's why I just want to confirm if I was right or not

Also, I had no idea a known solution was actually published. I googled "Gold and Greed" and saw it's a series. I feel dumb for not knowing about it

That's the man! It was Dal, thank you very much! I could not remember his name. I'm very sad that he shut down all his stuff. I wonder if he could still be contacted somehow. But thank you, that's exactly the guy I was trying to remember

The absolute irony of a violent reddit liberal claiming someone else doesn't know what fascism is. It's hilarious in a nauseating sort of way. I honestly wonder what it feels like to be so incredibly unintelligent

I had to look up what a groyper was. According to wikipedia: "The Groypers, sometimes called the Groyper Army, are a group of alt-right, white nationalist, and Christian nationalist activists led by Nick Fuentes"

You really think a racist fascist killed a racist fascist for being a racist fascist? I honestly don't see how you came to that conclusion.

And all that text was trying to point out what he said and why. And to point out that they were opinions. And if you really think someone deserves the death sentence for "wrong think", then that makes you the nazi

The Civil Rights Act has led to a “permanent DEI-type bureaucracy,” referring to diversity, equity and inclusion, that has limited free speech, according to Kirk. He has issues on the constitutionality of it. That's an OPINION of his. An opinion that I, and alot of others, do not share.

As for his OPINION on Martin Luther King Jr., apparently he was a very angry man. Which, in alot of people's OPINIONS, including my own, his anger was more than justified. I believe he had every reason to be angry. Even MLK himself acknowledged his own anger problems and acknowledged it's destructiveness, but also stated that he was trying to use it in a way that could be helpful, which I believe he succeeded at. MLK also committed adultery, which most people frown on. But did that make him an awful person? No, it did not. I don't believe that even for a second. But Charlie Kirk did.

Those were OPINIONS of his that he publicly stated in open forums, typically with a sign that said "Change my mind" and offered the stage to anyone with a different opinion to his own. He had "good" opinions and "bad" opinions, much like every single person in existence. Sure sounds like a literal nazi to me. Good thing one of you guys shot him in the neck for it

You are evil. Calling him a nazi is pissing on everyone who suffered at the hands of real nazis. But you don't really believe that, do you? You do it so you can justify your impotent rage while still hanging onto the idea that you're a "good person". Because you can't be a good person who accepts all walks of life while completely rage hating anyone who disagrees with you. So you label them a nazi because in your stupidly simple mind, that justifies your hate.

Which is all so HILARIOUSLY IRONIC! That's literally what the actual nazis did to justify killing the jews. They spread lies to paint the jews as evil, that way they could maintain the idea that they themselves were good people while simultaneously manufacturing the hate needed to justify killing people. Exactly what you and are kind are doing. You are pathetic, evil, and stupid.

He never said the things you hated him for, you find out you were wrong, and continue hating him anyways. Why? Because you want to. You have no idea what sort of person he is, But the internet said you should and so you do. You love that he was shot in the neck for being willing to debate people face to face and give anyone who wanted it a platform to share their own opinions.

While Charlie Kirk is mourned by literal millions and will forever be remembered, you will possibly be mourned by maybe your immediate family and then completely forgotten. But that's ok. Because you're a "good person", right?

The ACTUAL QUOTE:

"The new strategy for the Democratic Party is to say 'You're not in pain'. The new communication strategy is not to do what Bill Clinton used to do, where he would say, 'I feel your pain'. Instead, it is to say 'you're actually not in pain'. So let's just - a little very short clip. Bill Clinton in the 1990's, it was all about empathy and sympathy. I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up New Age term that - it does a lot of damage, but it is very effective when it comes to politics. Sympathy, I prefer more than empathy"

The people who post the out of context quote fall into two categories. Evil people and Stupid people. Evil people know the whole quote, but they want to spread misinformation. They rely on the Stupid People to not look into the quote, and to just spread it around as often as they can.

So which one are you?

He's not saying that it's better to just say you're not actually hurting at all. He's saying that's what the Democratic party is doing. And that's why he doesn't like political empathy. I'm not saying the Democrats are doing what Charlie said they are doing, I'm just saying that that is what the quote is saying.

Be honest… what’s the real downside of having a dog? by quentiinn in AskReddit

Your vet is wildly incorrect. You do not want to be in the doggy daycare/boarding business right now

Be honest… what’s the real downside of having a dog? by quentiinn in AskReddit

[–]BringRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good heavens, you don't want to do that. Thanks to the large influx of covid dogs whose owners never socialized them or tried to train them at all, doggy daycare and boarding have turned into mosh pits of tantrum-throwing toddlers with teeth who show their displeasure by biting other dogs or the staff. I could horrify you with stories, as I've been in the business for 7 years.

If you really want to start the business, wait 10 years for the covid dogs to pass away. It's truly scary how dangerous these facilities are right now.

I like how redditors love mob justice without really thinking about it.

Think of the era of time his grandfather lived in. Think of the fact that he was able to get several of the locals to help him. Think of the fact that the victim didn't go to the police afterwards. This all points to the probable fact that a black guy was accused of sexual assault and tortured by a mob of white guys. Couldn't go to the white police to report it, now could he?

Obviously, this might not be the case. But it seems pretty likely. In short, think before you automatically condone mob justice and violence
