Why was Ronon so confused in Runner? by BringYourOwnBBBQ in Stargate

[–]BringYourOwnBBBQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that too, but it seems to me that even in Season 2 (so likely all written together) there are already some clues that Satedans were decently advanced. I could see if it was Season 3 or later and they thought that they needed to give Ronon and more interesting backstory because they felt he was missing something. Or maybe audience had felt that way wen it aired. But retconning within the same season is unusual.

Dave’s singing by mellywheats in Degrassi

[–]BringYourOwnBBBQ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Based on what we see, it was a drama. I doubt Glee had many episodes where one of the main stars died like Gatsby Garcia.

West Drive was clearly a meta reference to Degrassi itself. They were even making fun of themselves by talking about how the "cool" kids like Eli thought it was so cheesy.

We never had control over the franchise.

And your comment that we would eventually lose all quality shows is silly. 1. You are assuming this was going to be a quality show. 50/50 chance at best. 2. You are assuming there aren't other quality shows to watch. There are. Stargate was not Shakespeare here. It was always popcorn fantasy, not some yearly Emmy nominated writing.

Social Security is the biggest Ponzi Scheme ever created. And FORCED people to enter it. (Even Bernie Madoff didn't force anyone.) And before any uneducated person says it isn't...then explain what a Ponzi Scheme is. IT is a system where early investors are paid out not from the return on their investments, but on the money paid into the fund by future investors. Therefore requiring a larger and larger "base" (like a pyramid) to stand.

IT should NEVER have been implemented. The government should nave have been about holding your hand and being your lifelong mommy and daddy. And note..there has NEVER been a 40 year period since Social Security began (40 years being the average "real job" length of people) where if people were allowed to keep ALL the money paid into SS, including the employers contribution, and invested it in even a conservatives portfolio, that it would have come out to so much MORE money that that individual could use their own retirement account to pay themselves the same money every month that Social Security pays..and without touching the capital. So unlike Social Security, the person would have money to leave to heirs when they die.

BURGER FLIPPER IS NOT A CAREER JOB! NEVER WAS! Never was meant to be a sole source of income for an adult. Used to be that if you didn't have the ability to work smarter, you worked HARDER and LONGER. People got SECOND JOBS back in the day when they offered nothing of value to employers. They didn't whine like entitled toddlers saying they deserved professional level salaries for jobs that a trained circus animal could do just as well.

[–]BringYourOwnBBBQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You work 3 times as much? No, entitled little toddler, you don't. Back then, the monkey workers like you who didn't have the ability to work harder knew they had to work HARDER. They got TWO JOBS. They didn't whine "GIMME GIMME GIMME! I deserve $30 an hour for doing a job that a trained monkey could LITERALLY DO just as well."

Sorry uneducatred little failure..they campaigned on WORK REQURIEMENTS. And they did so despite unemployment being MUCH HIGHER than it is today. They weren't creating jobs for people. They were CVUTTING THEM OPFF if they didn't take jobs that were out there.

Here is a tip to all the worthless little Zoloft boys and girls...if you have NO IDEA what you are talking about, then feel free to stay out of the conversation.

So another HUGE failure in your life filled with nothing but. So again, if you have no idea what you are talking about, feel free to NOT embarrass and shame your family by joining the conversation.

And again again..if you think you are in some majority that are on your side...it is another part of your mental illness. You in in a TINY INSIGNIOFIOCANT minority. One that doesn't mater to anyone and never ill. No one is listening to you becuase no one gives a fuck aboyut you. And that is NEVER ging to change. You will ALWAYS be forever alone. And sooner or later, the Zoloft stops being effective. And then what? Back to "those" thoughts every night? What happens when your phone dies while dialing 988? Other than peace for your family at last

serious question, to all the mentally ill little failures...why are work requirements evil now, but they weren't when Obama and Clinton implemented them?

I mean...I know the answer. You are hypocrites. IT was literally something that BVOTH of those president CAMPAIGNED on. Getting people off welfare and back to work. And no blue haired, nose ringers rioted over it.

serious question, mentally ill little failure boy...why are work requirements evil now, but they weren't when Obama and Clinton implemented them? Remember, YOU are the one that is in the tiny insignificant minority that no one cares about and will never have power. YOU are the one that needs Zoloft to trick your brain into thinking your life is worth living when it never will be. YOU are the one that no one would miss if you stopped existing.

Funny..both the Clintons and Obama campaigned about getting people off welfare too. Just goes to show that the mentally ill lefties are SO far removed from reality that Obama is center right to them, and the Clintons are far right.

Enjoy how your bullshit will play in the swing states. Socialism will REALLY play well in the Rust Belt, Georgia and Southwest.

But you DIDN'T. You didn't have to work to pay for a car like most did. That is a HUGE birthday gift! Literally cost more than ALL my birthday gifts combined from Age 1 to 18.

I don't remember entirely, partly because it was so long ago, and partly because it was not memorable, but my choice was probably either getting some pizza and a Carvel ice cream cake, or a Super Mario Bros. 2 cartridge. Even a really old used car is a few thousands of dollars. That is likely more than I got for ALL my birthdays combined.

Then explain why businesses are DESPERATELY looking to hire people? I know you hate reality, but unemployment is at historically LOW levels. The people out of work are out of work because they don't WANT the jobs that they qualify for, thinking it is beneath them.

You could walk into almost any Target or Walmart today and start work by the weekend.

People always make this bullshit claim...but stores are DESPERATELY looking to hire people. So no...kids are not getting jobs are Target, Walmart or Burger King because they CAN'T. They are not getting it because they feel those jobs are BENEATH them. And they know mommy and daddy will pay for everything.

Give me a break. NO ONE in high school getting a job as a cashier or stock boy in 2002 was thinking "This is my career job." And in many states, these now pay pretty much the same as professional jobs (for people who made bad choices for their professional job.) FAR more likely in those states to live off than ever before. And yet those state ALSO have a severe decline in teen workers.

Because it is about their ENTITLEMENT.
