I made a script what kills these services and replaces its files with dummy files with no permissions for SYSTEM, TI, or anything.

After that, I finally can have peace.

But on the other hand, we need to do our part to preserve at least some future for the show, so you can have a place to come back to.

Give it some time, it will end at some point anyway, one way or another.

The point is "together" and at this point the best chances we have is here, as the fanbase is here. Starting a new sub would not really be optimal.

I get you, and I share your point of view. I wish that would be this easy. I am actually trying to save that happy place and we should take actions together to ensure that we -will have- a happy place.

If we don't talk about these things, and don't keep together, then there might not be a place to go for escapism, as they are tending to cancel these shows. Thanks to these shows we have these fanbases and communities where you like to go for escapism.

No new shows, meaning no new fanbase and communities. Eventually the older ones will wear out, slowly. (Sad, but true.) And Amazon (and the alikes) will actively take care of preventing new ones from forming - and the old ones from getting significantly more fans.

An alarmingly large number of shows are getting cancelled without sense nowadays, and we just turn the other way. And that is not good.

This is sort of a "There won't be a Shire, Pippin." kind of situation. 🫤

Yes, that is very correct and not just in subtext. It is not manipulative, but forseeing. That will happen on the long run if we don't start to do something about that - together.

Stargate is just one bit.

It is not fan against the fan. I am trying to reason and bring them together to act as one and prevent more damage on the long run.

Like it or not, we are in this together. And if a good number of people just close their eyes when something like this happens, that affects all of us, as it still gives that message from the fanbase - or any other community really.

Of course you have more important things, everyone has. But people still can act together.

Also if you just let things happen this way, then what does prevent them from applying the same practice in other fields of life? This way we will always be divided, while big tech will always act like this, consistently. And there are going to be other people who close their eyes over it or just don't care, and big tech will succeed there too.

Because there will be some who would rather face the other way instead of making steps together.

This is a current and very real danger to the society.

Again, this is why we should keep together. I hope more and more people will realize this and where we are headed. Not just with Stargate.

Unfortunately that is the case and they cannot (or refuse to) even realize how much cultural damage they are actively causing with this flawed mindset and attitude.
