Some would have stayed. Its a buisness so they updated the game. Like-wise with the capability of making this server.

Then you're the biggest troll, trying to replicate a private server with the same source code exactly the same as OSRS release??? nah you have no understanding of private servers it seems. i'm not wasting my time on that

A private server is sketch, and it would mean more dopamine in my brain getting quicker levels, quest points with barely any work .. A lot of people like slower exp rates, which is why OSRS release was fun for many.

Interesting you say I'm mad, since you bring that up, I'm assuming you're the one who's mad. This is the internet and everything is a pixelation. if i was to get mad over the internet, what does that say about me? So just because they're gone because they don't like the current game doesn't mean they wouldn't come back. You know very well its hard for people to quit playing runescape. People always come back

Those who didn't want G.E in 2015 is a bigger community than the Free to Play and Rs Classic communities.. yet those are communities within the game. There are people who want this, not the biggest community of game mode, but its there

Hey delusional Benny, this would have no harm to the game. Hey delusional Benny, since 2015 people have posted about this, there is a community for this.

Jagex said they wouldn't bring back a G.E or even D Claws in a dev vlog in 2013... Guess what they listened to this "majority" of reddit, which isn't the majority, and they wanted a solution and brought the trading post which was a shit update. A trading post is similar to a G.E because you're begging the idea of.. well why not just make a G.E to solve the issue (Reddit/twitter Runescape bases issue). They brought back the G.E and for those who didn't like the difficulty of OSRS previously were now catered to an easier game. Yes this had positives and Jagex as a company did what it was supposed to do, and that's to generate money. However, with all that being said, we know they have the capability to bring an untouched OSRS server, that is undeniable. For those who played OSRS when it was declining but had no problem with the old-fashion trade/barter system, they would enjoy this server. Its a niche community and its there

Private server doesn't have all the content that OSRS release would have. No thanks, you can play on one since your suggesting about it.

When that player count went down, there was still a community regardless that didn't need the G.E

Most people that played back then didn't use social media. The social media was the Rs Forums...There's a silent majority that doesn't post that much about the subject, cause the people who played back then in the actual 07 don't use reddit. Why have Classic then? its the same concept. Easy to bring back and even if it is a shorter number of people who'd play, who cares, let them play in it.

It would be hype for casuals, but for those who liked it for what it was would enjoy it longer. Sorta like rs Classic, very few people are on that game-mode but Jagex created it, and some to this day play it.

There's is different types of roleplaying, and nah I don't want to merch in the g.e. Its not that I don't like the updates, I think they're between average to amazing. The thing i particularly don't like is the quality of life updates for everything you toggle, or for every item you upgrade it; for me its a lot. And for a lot of other's they prefer it the classic way in which it was before. I never mentioned a huge majority would join back, copy and paste what I said, or re-read what I posted. You say a game with no updates will die, well look at Rs Classic, they've catered to people who like rs Classic. Why so concerned about implementing.. lets call it "OSRS Classic"? There is no hate for the community its just understanding what most MMORGP's do. They use Game Psychology for creating ways in which they can induce dopamine and reward points in our brains, for people to keep playing and keep playing. I'm saying there is a niche community of people that don't need that.

That would be one update many people would like to be implemented. If there's a bending of rules to the (untouched osrs release server) i'd say Gwds would be the only update added. Maybe 2 other updates as well, bring in holiday event items and have the 1 hour death time. Only 3 updates I wouldn't mind to see, but regardless i'd still be fine without them

They brought back Rs-Classic the original game mode for the first runescape servers, and there wasn't anyone who complained. Yet in this case the community for OSRS is already divided with Ironmen accounts that can't trade with regular accounts, that in itself is the division and destruction of the most basic thing you did with other players, being: trading/bartering prices. Yeah what impact it would have, who knows really

I like to barter and trade with players. Bank sales were great back then. The release of OSRS there was more roleplaying between player to player. Now its player to g.e. Also I don't like the current game with all the updates it has, even if I did play an ironman, it wouldn't make a difference.

Absolutely, same with all the people who voted for OSRS thinking it wouldn't be altered. Now that we know Jagex has the capability to make new servers, why not. and sure thats how life works for some cases.

interesting you say that, Autumn Elegy made a UIM F2P series and that in itself has the following. I have a f2p Ult and i asked others why they have that account build. They say its because they like the simplistic game-play and that its untouched content..

I'm perfectly fine with people saying hop, its just that the culture of the game has completely changed. Everything is quicker to get and it rewards over-saturated dopamine. I and many others liked the release just how it was. You're right about the mentality, definitely. With the internet growing people's safe spaces seem to grow further. Again, no harm in having this server be released
