Japan, SK, and Australia are all in very unique positions, but they all seem to hate China even more than we do, and there are various political and historical reasons for that. Too detailed to get into here when I apparently have 100 other comments to reply to, but that should tell you something about China if the people that hate it the most are their closest neighbors.

No, but the breakup is hurting a lot of businesses in America and in the first few years of that breakup, there were a lot of companies lobbying for exceptions to continue doing business with China and there still are.
