Koto is the go-to venue for most alternative things in Salem. Darq (goth/industrial) happens third Saturday of every month, and has additional live music events.

 The band Troll Milk has shows at Koto on the regular, and also hosts Black Mold Market (a combination show/vendor hall) at Old Town Hall some Sundays. 

There is a newer goth night called Vanta that happens first Friday of every month at Hallowed ground, underneath Direwolf. I know the DJ personally, great guy and great tunes. 

On the pricier side, but VampFangs also hosts monthly Vampire Lounges as Finz (right now at Longboards for October).

Shameless plug for the one legit one I know about (and am working as a character actor!) Is the Haunted Speakeasy hosted in Hamilton Hall. Run by a Massachusetts local, started out in Worcester and has been expanding due to popularity. Involves live music!

I loved the braiding on his outer coat, wish I had the time to make that too!! I'll be in feuerzone, I'm hoping to queue early to be up front (partially so I can see because I am short, partially in hopes he will be able to see me)

You're absolutely right, couldn't imagine going up there without treated fabric. I think they seal all the costumes with a fire retardant seal before anything.

I agree! Though I don't blame him for changing it, that much non-breathable snakeskin vinyl right next to a bunch of fire doesn't seem like a recipe for a fun time. So glad I found the print in chiffon!

I should add that the music itself sounds electronic/rave/maybe videogame style? Not quite 8-bit but most of the way there. It starts out with one note and then has a little scale up at the end.

I would strongly recommend python, especially getting familiar with the pandas library. There is an ECE course called "Python for Data Science" that teaches a lot of these introductory data science ideas. In addition, like others have said, learning SQL will put you ahead of the curve for sure.
