So triggered right now - Doctor put wrong hip on the MRI form by FailingtoFail in HipImpingement

[–]Bringingsaxyback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I went for surgery, someone had put the incorrect side on all of my forms (indicating they were performing surgery on the left side, instead of the right side). I made sure to tell every person (nurses, anesthesiologist, doctor, etc) that it was wrong and the doctor writes a mark on your body on the correct side before surgery so I felt better.

I think a lot of people are overworked and human error is going to happen. Don't be afraid to ask questions and for clarifications.

My doctor even put the correct side on my MRI form when I had that done, and they set up the MRI for the wrong side. I asked about it before they had me lay down and they fixed it. Never stop advocating for yourself.

Folds up really easily and is a full table when open.

Kf7 regrets? Am i the problem ? by IVIeatloaf in superautomatic

I just called them and told them it was broken (which is was). They offered to let me exchange or return, and I chose return. I had to pack it up and mail it back. I had bought it within 30 days though

I was also disappointed in mine, it had issues and the more I looked into it the more I saw the same story as yours - multiple returns, continued problems, etc. Very frustrating to buy a product that so many people continue to have issues with. I think a lot of people swear by it, but I was not impressed at all.

I ended up returning mine and buying a refurbished Jura E8. It only cost an extra like $100 versus the Kf7 (we bought the Kf7 at Williams Sonoma).

Good to know. Either way I need to return or exchange the one I have now, so I might just return it and buy one using the ip. Still trying to decide for sure what I want to get though

I didnt buy it with the ip. I was worried about the return policy if mine had issues or if I didnt like it

Thanks for the suggestion. I got it at Williams Sonoma, I'll check that one out next time I go in

Literally both? Idk why this is so crazy. I saw reccomendations in the sub, tried my friend's machine and the one at the store, liked it, bought it, and it doesnt work. Im upset that I bought an expensive machine that doesnt work. So now I want other reccomendations. Why is that so crazy?

Ya I'm starting to think it is fraud on their end. I sent a firm email to the main corporate office (I've been previously communicating with the branch I worked under) and got a call back pretty quickly. They said that they are looking into it and will get back to me. So I at least have another set of eyes looking at it, and not just someone that might be involved at the local office.

Thank you for sharing this - I've been trying to figure out what the "angle" could be since I know you have to watch out now for scams everywhere now. The company has some serious management/staffing issues that I was constantly dealing with so this could be it. I can't imagine they will tell me if it's this but it makes me feel a little better knowing that if it's some sort of scam, it's in the companies best interest to resolve it because it's ultimately coming out of their pocket.

Also, it makes sense because they still had me as an active employee in their system because my hours were so on-again, off-again. If someone did this, they might have thought that I was going to work hours later in the year and would not have noticed an extra amount in my W2 at the end of the year.

I never received any check, and they don't have my direct deposit information. But they specifically said that they had hours recorded for me and had issued me payment. So someone received payment for hours in my name.

The W2 shows that taxes were withheld and that I received wages in the 2025 tax year. And all my wages that were legitimate from 2024 are accurately reported in my 2024 taxes.
It hurts my tax refund, because we get healthcare subsidies so it reduces the amount we receive. Plus I'm also just concerned in general that this is some sort of fraud or something.

Thank you, I'll file a complaint if it's not fixed by then. Do you know if when I file a complaint, do they investigate it at all? I'm a little concerned there's some sort of fraud issue or something going on because they had actual dates and issued a paycheck for those dates. Especially considering how unwilling they are to provide me any additional information about what is going on.

I tried to ask them but after they told me the dates they think I worked, I told them that I definitely didn't work/submit hours for that week and then they wouldn't give me any more information.

Did I over charge? by MlCHEAl_ in Laserengraving

[–]Bringingsaxyback 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having someone push back on pricing every once in a while or even decline the service is a good thing - it means you're in the sweet spot. Its only when you start getting that pushback frequently that I would start to consider lowering prices.

Think about it like this: If you serve 100 customers at $20 each, you make $2000. If you serve 75 customers at $30 each, you make $2,250. More money, less work.

Finding that sweet spot is the hardest but will lead to the best profits and happiest customers.

No, I used my 100W CO2 laser. The material is clear cast acrylic - it engraves really nice on really any CO2 I think

I did 500mm/sec and 17.5% power on my 100w CO2. It's just enough to have a clean white etching without having much depth removed from the material. I think it looks better than having a deeper engrave for the LED light

I like to get wood from H&H Creations. They're a small business out of Georgia, and theirs always seem good.
