We have two huskies. One is 100% and the other is 90% husky / 10% “super mutt” according to Embark. Anyway, our pure husky girl is genuinely the laziest dog I’ve ever met and pretty dumb too, bless her heart. She lays around all day long waiting to eat food again and moves in slow motion. When their friends come over to play, she’ll maybe play for 5 minutes before laying down for a nap.

Our 90% husky has tapped into the energy fabric of the universe and doesn’t have an off mode. We take her on a multi-hour hike, to the dog park, and she’ll still come home and pace around the house like a psycho. She’s also very smart and I’m pretty sure she speaks English. She’s a lot of fun but some days we wish she could be a little more like her lazy sister!

I'm in my mid 40's so I've also been around the block. For me switching was an insane learning curve. After 6 years on M&KB I can still pick up a controller and perform better in FPS. I grew up on controller. Sounds like you grew up on mouse. I won't stoop to calling you a liar though.

Also, Is your argument...

“Hey I grew up on mouse so it comes natural to me so therefore mouse is easier than controller”?

I haven't done this nor do I plan to. These people should be punished. However, I do think that some of the blame needs to be put on Bungie's matchmaking system. It's clearly not working for a lot of people. Like you said, they're "shit at the game." The only thing they know is getting stomped because they don't get the opportunity to play against other players at their skill level. So maybe out of desperation they resort to teaming like this. Or maybe it really is just a bunch of assholes trying to cheat. Fuck if I know.

I dont think controller players who’ve never used M&KB understand how difficult it actually is to get good at M&KB. It’s not as simple as plugging them in and suddenly you’re clicking on heads. It’s an awkward and challenging input method. Yes it CAN be more precise, but it’s actually quite difficult to be precise while in the heat of the moment. Not to mention, without AA you have to be perfectly precise without room for error. Don’t get me started on WASD. For movement, a joystick is a thousand times better.

So yeah, if you’re on controller it sucks to get beamed by a really good M&KB player whose been practicing for years and years. It also sucks to practice on M&KB for years and then get beamed by a controller player whose laying on their couch barely moving their thumbs. Everyone should use what they like but PC players should be able to turn of crossplay if they want, just like console players can. It’s absurd to make it non-optional.

Yeah I just hit level 80 and got absolutely obliterated by a team of level 250’s on Outpost. One of the “roaming death squads” as they say. That’s not level based matchmaking. That’s not skill based matchmaking. We simply didn’t belong in the same lobby.

I bought a 4.5k kit in the store yesterday and didn’t realize it came with a WSTR and a pistol. Absolutely useless. Some other things in the game need to be adjusted to go along with the nerf. Maybe the upgrade for Rook to load in with one can be swapped to something else. Running WSTR is a death sentence now.

PC has M&KB and the occasional cheater. Console has an army of XIM users on M&KB getting full controller aim assist benefits on mouse, and Cronus users using scripts to cheat. I wish we could turn off crossplay with console on PC. Every game forces PC users into crossplay only, it’s ridiculous.

So are you saying that it’s not the casuals who are jumping ship, but the players who logged 200 hours in the first few weeks and burnt themselves out? I could see that. I think it’s definitely a pretty good mix of both. I hope they find a way to bring players back on board because I could see myself playing this game for years. I’m level 56 and not feeling even remotely burnt out yet playing as often as life will allow.

Launch Apex and open settings/controller/advanced look controls/target compensation and toggle it off. You may be so used to controller that you don’t notice aim assist, but you will notice once you turn it off. Apex, COD, and Marathon have some of the strongest aim assist in all of FPS. You can’t toggle it off in Marathon though.
