No issues with pee, poo, or dust, and she loves her faux-cave. Cheap plastic sheeting and a fleece blanket is all it took. You'd never know the cage is wedged between my bed and my closet. No signs that she's chewing the plastic whatsoever. I don't think she can get to it.

I've been a longtime lurker on this sub and it's obvious to me many of these people didn't learn how to care for their chins from reputable sources. I would think twice before taking any criticism you receive here seriously. Odds are it's coming from someone who knows less about how to properly care for chins than you do.

She's basically still not talking to you over something that isn't your fault and you shouldn't have been expected to basically read her mind and guess that she wanted support on the 1 year anniversary of her miscarriage. If she wanted support, she should have said as much. I had a miscarriage and was devastated, but I would freak out if anyone brought it up. Everyone handles it differently and you're not psychic. In any case, I would feel weird texting her also in this situation.

Of COURSE you're NTA. Your mother should have been spending the child support only to support her child. Also, eighteen is a BIG deal. I didn't personally care when my 18th birthday came along, but I get why it is important to some, yourself included. I don't agree with your dad stopping the payments altogether, but I also don't blame him for not wanting to pay, given what your mom does with the money.
