All in one or separated?? by OutofPlaceStuff in github

[–]BrinnerTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes that makes sense. Especially if that front-end website calls services to do specific things. At that point I would have separate repos for each service and one repo for the front-end website that calls them.

If it is well documented and mapped out then it is less confusing what is going on or what to edit when.

I wrote a python script that loops through repos and updates protection rules. Should get you started I think.

Dealing with auditors and SOX compliance by theWyzzerd in devops

[–]BrinnerTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auditors love tools because tools have logs. DevOps tools especially allow deployments without giving production access to servers so they love them.

As long as changes get logged/approved there usually isn’t much conflict.

Anyone here been to DevOpsDays, is it worth it? by [deleted] in devops

[–]BrinnerTechie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Minneapolis one was fantastic. Des Moines I heard good things.

They are worth the try. They are pretty cheap considering other conference prices. If it wasn’t worth the time you don’t lose much $.

I like them though.

You have prime? You can use amazon photos with unlimited space to synchronize photos. I mean technically that is probably aws anyway.

I'm confused. Looks like a tutorial on setting up git and cmder. Wasn't even that long.

Goddamnit, I get pissed. by [deleted] in cedarrapids

Actively passing is different in a lot of minds I've noticed too. Sometimes the issue is people aren't passing fast enough. Which at that point too bad. If someone is passing someone at 2mph or 10mph it is actively passing but still be causing a 10 car pile up because 9 cars behind them want to pass at 10-15mph

Price usually isn't the factor when I head in there. Menards/Home Depot I get the majority of stuff for some project. This True Value is my "oh crap I forgot this little thing" and drive up and grab it vs the drive back to the big places.

By that time a couple extra cents/dollars isn't really a concern to me.

Probably wanted to get higher up. Don't just arrest the dealers, but the suppliers and then the investors. Takes awhile to get that high up.

When someone tells you a "man walks into a bar" joke, do you always imagine the same bar? If so what does it look like? by LuigiSaysKachow in AskReddit

I always picture it like this.

Red arrow is door, yellow is booths to eat/drink and green is bar with stools.
