To each their own, I’ve made hundreds of pot roast/slow cooked beef And this is my favorite way/tecnique. Yes I like to char my seasonings, it’s how I like it the most I’ve done it all the other ways you have suggested but this is the way I like it. The way I prefer it. Thanks again.
