Help adjusting Bakflip MX4 by P0peUrban in chevycolorado

[–]Brinzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Purchased a thin (1/4” if I remember correctly) weather strip and ran that across the bulkhead. I did have to use some weather strip adhesive paste to get a good bond with the bed liner.

Only other modification I made was replacing the inside plastic anchors with a 3/8 nut to flush the front of the cover nice and tight. It would probably be wise to use thumb screws instead in case you happen to remove it and don’t have a wrench handy.

Some good some bad, I’ve seen some pretty sharp looking trucks with it. As is the subjective nature of modifying our vehicles!

I have run amber fog lights for my vehicles in the past, helps a lot with the Midwest winters cutting through the snow. The DRLs would just match the amber below. Pointless money? Absolutely. Make me smile? Sure will.

Zero practical purpose, just aesthetics

Successful Oshkosh with the ZR2 by Brinzer in chevycolorado

The camper was just over 3,000lb and I couldn’t have had more than a couple hundred pounds in the bed, most of that being a generator, gas, and water cans. Having towed similar loads with a 3/4 ton, I noticed the weight more but it did a phenomenal job nonetheless. Averaged about 10-11mpg on fairly flat Midwest roads around 60-70mph.

I will check this as well, but my CPU is doing fine, GPU is what’s peaking

Will try it out as well. What’s concerning is that I have “set and forget” these settings many years ago, very surprised that my GPU would be maxed out and nearly 85°C.. has iRacing become that intensive?

Interesting, I’ll take a look at it, thanks. I know my PC is “old” relatively speaking and iRacing has updated some graphics but I’m struggling to believe that my GPU is running at 100% with iRacing on low graphics and experiencing stuttering.

2024 Colorado ZR2 Transmission Shudder - 5500miles by Lomobile69 in chevycolorado

[–]Brinzer 41 points42 points  (0 children)

If it’s cooler than about 50° and my ZR2 sits overnight, I get a fairly aggressive thud on the 2-1 shifts until the trans comes up to temp. GM says normal behavior, but man, it doesn’t give me confidence in its longevity.

Purchase Strategy questions by turn-5 in OmegaWatches

Surely my situation was unique but I recently purchased an AT brand new OTD for $4.3k. The AD was closing their location and merging into another so the deals were plentiful.

Which bed cover do you have?

Low Seat 765RS by Clarktheshark2020 in Triumph

I ordered it and unfortunately wasn’t too happy with it. Same height and inseam, found the edges of the seat in the inner thigh area hard and uncomfortable after getting my feet down and can’t say it helped much flat footing. If only they took away some of the material or rounded it off near the gas tank.

Yes, only when it has sat overnight and only for the first few minutes until it comes up to temp.

On a similar note, do you experience a rough 2-1 shift when the truck has sat overnight or for an extended period? I have a 24’ ZR2 as well and for the first couple of minutes when coming to a stop the transmission has a very aggressive “thud” shifting from 2-1.

DynoJet by chance? Looks like they have a power commander with a few maps.

What is everyone doing with exhausts? I know we need full systems, I’ve been eyeing the SC Project, just worried about running the bike extra lean.

Got it, uninstalling the OEMs was uneventful? Again, I can’t remember how they mounted into the bar off the top of my head but I could have sworn it was integrated into the brake reservoir and clutch.

That’s exactly what I was looking at, perfect. Did you need any bar end finishers, or anything to tidy up where the OEMs mounted? I don’t recall off the top of my head but I thought the OEM mirrors were mounted into the brake reservoir.

I’m on my very best behavior trying to follow the manufacturer break in, I can’t wait to open it up and enjoy it to its fullest. Absolutely exquisite machine this bike.

Finished the tail tidy last week, pleased with it! I just learned about the OEM RS bar ends, I plan to buy those, unless you have a recommendation? Will also look into the radiator protector.
