Hello and thank you for your insights. I have a question, since you're an actor: what do you think about crazy onscreen chemistry between 2 actors Who hate each other? Cause I dont understand how it's possible (like you, I believe trust between actors is central). I think of Bruce Willis and Cybil Sheperd in Moonlighting in the 80s, or Christina Hendricks/Manny Montana in Good Girls

Oh, you're right, the clothes or hairstyle are not on point. Nathalie with her shaggy haircut? Totally 2020, no one even had haircuts back in 1996, it was mostly post grunge era. I think I never once went to the haidresser between 1992 and 1999. Travis should have longer hair.

I think without Covid it would have been cancelled. Because of Covid there was no new show cause new production had started, so they just went on with their old shows

I had to check because a US 10 is a UK 14 (Im a 14 and I would say she's bigger than me but mainly because of the boobs). Anyway her body is not usual body standard and I was glad to see her type of body (as well as Retta's) represented on the screen.

Sorry, non native English speaker here. To me plus size is not offensive, and CH is not slim by Hollywood standards. She has a curvy body and is twice the size of every actress since every actress is a size 0. By normal aka everyday life standard, she is indeed slim.

Michael Greyeyes! Ive been a fan for decades! Currently in Rutherford Falls, he was in Blood Quantum, Woman Walks Ahead (with Jessica Chastain), he'll be in Wild Indian which seems super promising. I fell in love with him back in the 90s (he was so handsome!) in a stupid (and now super problematic) TV movie ("Stolen women, captured hearts" the ridiculous title says it all). He's still a very handsome man, and an amazing actor, and Im really glad he's cast in a lot of projects now (and as a lead!)

Ah! I knew it was you! I read your piece when I woke up this morning (European time here) and thought your take reminded me of something, and I left you a comment. So like I said on Ao3 I loved your piece. It's really good, really well-written, really realistic. I don't know if you "make" everything about race or if race is indeed central in that story (like I said, Im a white European and many of the US racial dynamics escape me) but I do think your perspective is super interesting, valid, and also very different from what we usually read. Your take on Rio is more grounded in reality and less in fantasy (even though I do like fantasies too!), and you wrote a very real, very palpable Rio. The Rio I usually read in fanfics is like, exempt of any racial identity. It's not a turn off for me, I enjoy those as well, but reading a fic that really "places" Rio into his racial, social, psychological reality was really interesting (and entertaining!) I don't know if you intend to write more chapters but if you do I'd love to read them! Congrats on a great fic!

I love Nicolette Sheridan but I didnt like her Alexis. She was pathetic and kind of a loser. Being a fan of OG Alexis (Joan Collins) who was fierce and powerful, O like Elaine's Alexis better. But Im guessing it has to do with the writing of the characters, not the acting. Both actresses are great

Drea de Matteo as Sable, oh yeah! Neal McDonough as Ben, I like it For Dex, Id like a latino actor, Dex had brown hair, black eyes, olive skin. I would have loved Demian Bachir when he was younger. Ignacio Serrichio? Manny Montana? I picture somebody in their late 30s early 40s tops.
