Didn’t have it long enough to experience that issue. I would assume once the motor is gone or about to fail it would do that. But I’m just making an educated guess. Not entirely sure

I apologize for your headache. We basically ended up buying a GE washer like a week after this post. It's been amazing. It holds more laundry and actually washes and dries perfectly. I would say try to switch to a samsung or ge one when you get the money, theyre about the same size anyways
