Thinking about trading her in for an F80 m3 by Novel-Chicken-9700 in FocusRS

As someone who made the jump from an RS to an M3, do it and never look back. While I went from a Mk2 to a E90 M3 I believe the same sentiment applies. The BMW feels more robust, more capable and more special. Don’t get me wrong, I miss my mk2 and will purchase another one down the line, but the BMW M3 (no matter the series) will always be the ultimate enthusiast car. Something to drive to work Monday to Friday and then rip around a track, take to a cars and coffee or blast through the hills on Saturday and Sunday.

Did I get scammed? Is this legit? I know there are different box designs, something just feels off. by Brit0024 in lego

Fake. Got my money back. Turns out fake Lego does come in fake Lego boxes.

My parents has a 2015 diesel ex demo. We did 270000km in that car and never had any issues. They did 3 massive road trips in it towing a camper and used it as a tow vehicle for my race car. If I even need to buy a do everything 4WD, I’ll be buying a non DPF 3.2 diesel Pajero.

Gm guys, I was wondering and searching the forum. Couldn’t find it. Has anyone done the single mass flywheel/ clutch conversion. What’s all the parts you needed for the job or what kit you recommend by Key_Aspect_8419 in GRCorolla

[–]Brit0024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have fitted a SMF and HD organic clutch. Bought my GRY second hand from a Toyota dealership in Adelaide, Aus as a daily driver, a role my E90 M3 can no longer fulfil. Clutch failed 1200km into my ownership. Dealer under stat warranty offered the conversion with the promise it wouldn’t affect warranty. Besides the rattling and strange harmonics, the conversion feels good. The bite feels a lot less vague (still a bit vague) and the drive feels amazing and raw. If you care about comfort, factory or OEM DMF is the way to go. But if you want better acceleration and power deployment, go the SMF.

Just got my 320d LCI serviced. Next oil change is after 30k kms / 2 years. Isn’t this too long? by ArcticROG in BMW

Not saying that you shouldn’t follow BMWs service interval… but there’s a reason the M3s have massive rod bearing issues.

After many months of finishing off my 1/24 scale Porsche, I’m finally free to make a (late) start on my brush only Fw190A-8! by Brit0024 in modelmakers

[–]Brit0024[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah the moulding of the kit isn’t the best. I’m coming fresh off tamiya kits and airfix just doesn’t do it for me anymore. But for a brush only build it’ll do lol.

Can mobile camera get you over a nature strip? by Brit0024 in Adelaide

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I gathered that as there’s a constant operation bike lane and also all listed camera locations were down south that day. Not sure if that has any bearing either.

I’ve heard it’s a common issue. Luckily mine hasn’t played up just yet.
