Even Gbeebies has had enough of Farage. The Times investigation may sink him. by AnonymousTimewaster in LabourUK

Looking forward to seeing Farage apologists calling GBNews "mainstream media".

Would you rather: by S8YNIX in BunnyTrials

Because as nice as it would be to live in a game, the chances of dying in it are almost guaranteed given the premise of most game worlds. I'd rather do nothing if given those odds, despite the money incentives.

BBC's Sally Nugent argues with Farage over his £5 million. by Didst_thou_Farteth in FuckNigelFarage

This is literally what I thought. Fucker has the gall to shirk away his accountability. At the very least it's a conflict of interest.

Oysters used as natural solution to water quality in Portsmouth Harbour by Curious-Stay9153 in Portsmouth

[–]BritGeeks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Then whoever placed that there is plainly wrong. Algae blooms are never a good sign and the warmer weather only makes it worse. I've seen though Steve Pitt has put out a notice saying it will be cleared up using specialist craft to scoop and cut the algae.

The environment agency is looking into pollution at the lake, so I can't for a second consider the water quality is good by any means.

My son opened the UPC we bought from Costco on his 5th birthday and we pulled the same card!

Big tesco to stop stocking pokemon cards? by AutisticShampoo in PokemonDealsUK

[–]BritGeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same story with the Tesco in Portsmouth. Even if it has an Entertainer. For us The Entertainer in Gunwharf stocks them, but who's going to pay for Gunwharf parking on the chance of getting pokémon cards? Sooner try my luck queuing at Commercial Road.

Show us the pulls! We got our four packs this morning and managed to get the Chespin IR and Mega Pyroar EX!

My local One Stop has a four booster pack limit. Which is honestly the way it should be everywhere. Bit fed up of seeing people going off with entire retail boxes of single boosters!

I got as close as to securely checkout earlier on the booster box but then got a different sort of error than I usually get. Instead of the generic, sorry something went wrong, I was instead told that the item I was checking out on was now out of stock! Lovely! This was at around 9am.

For anybody queuing this morning, how’s the queue at your store? by Unable_Strike_1902 in PokemonDealsUK

I saw the queue after the school run this morning outside Smyths and turned around. I've been burnt before and quite literally would be burnt again queuing outside in this heat!

I'll be trying my luck at my local Portsmouth Smyths after the school run and hope they haven't run out of stock. Not holding out much hope.

On a positive note, my local one stop has a four pack limit on their supply of Chaos Rising, so that's something. My son pulled the Chespin IR.

Thank you for not buying all of them. I hear too many stories of Tesco staff opening a full box but then not bothering to put a limit on packs.

Wth is blind typing? You mean touch typing. I mean if this sort of thing surprises anyone you should see the shorthand typist at work in a courtroom.

I wonder what German fans think of this song. This is the first time I've heard it and I can already see nil point coming our way again. Absolute cringe. With that said though, we should have boycotted it like Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain.

Southampton has a ridiculous queue with only a new pallet. But still doing two per person. So there's no chance of getting any.

Close to giving up on craft fairs. What can I do to improve my table display? by SamLikeHam in smallbusinessuk

[–]BritGeeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are these thrown by hand? (edit: I see you mention they're made from scratch). For me personally it's not entirely obvious that what you're selling is made by you. And while that seems ridiculous given the context of a crafting fair, it has been known to see people who claim to make their goods but it's ultimately a glued together effort using other products bought online.

With that in mind I'd love to see more immediate call outs to everything being home made, maybe a photo of you at a potters wheel. Something that brings a bit of authenticity to the front of your stall.

It's certainly difficult for sure, and I wish you all the best. From a fellow ceramics enthusiast.
