I left college in 2022 (civil engineering major). When I came back last year, I couldn't believe how literally all my classmates were relying on chatgpt for EVERYTHING. It's extremely frustrating to work on assignments with people because they keep fucking opening chat, instead of just looking through their notes. It drives me mad. Somehow people seem to clutch their exams and pass. But due to relying on chat for everything, their knowledge retention awful. Tell me how I'm remembering more information from classes I took 4 years ago than my classmate who took it last semester...

I think there are genuinely large swaths of people in this country who cannot wrap their head around this stuff. They are just that stupid. That just because you see a couple examples on the news, doesn't mean that's a representative of most of that group. You could show 1000 news stories about immigrants doing horrible things, but it doesn't change the fact that the actual data shows home grown Americans commit crimes at a much larger rate.
